Don't know why they didn't fill this card with ex Pride fighters. Japanese fans tend to love the bigger fighters, wonder what they think of the main event.

Rampage is the token Pride marquee for the Japanese fans I guess. Mark Hunt too I suppose.

I think every Jap fighter will lose tbh they are ****e generally physically inferior people compared to Europeans and American fighters. Pettis Lauzon and Hunt Kongo should be awesome

Last week I place a bet on Ryan Bader based on Rampage not being the hardest worker in MMA and I could just not see him being motivated to fight someone of Baders standing. Yesterday he missed weight by 6lbs. Bader now gets 20% of his purse which ironically is more than his whole purse lol. Rampage obviously stiill expected to win but I thought it was worth a punt.
It's looking like a decent card actually, looking forward to it particularly Hunt vs Kongo, hoping for a Hunt win.

Fcukin Love Frankie Edgar, cant see him beating Henderson but didnt think he'd beat Penn or Maynard so hopefully in for another shock.

I think Rampage looked good and hungry for the win, Lauzon I like and hope he does it??

                          Really good event IMO.
Rampage done I think, when a fighter starts all that only fighting for the cash stuff then the end is in sight.
What a comeback by Tim Boetsch, Okami was destroying him.
Did Jake Shields really win that fight? I didn't give it my full attention and will need to watch it again.
Surprised some are arguing that Edgar won that fight, I thought Henderson was good for the win. Edgar will deserve an immediate rematch after what he had to do in his last 4 fights it's only fair. I don't think he'll ever win thouh as Hendrson looks like he has the stamina to nullify Edgars main weapon.
Really glad to see Hunt gain a very good win. Given that the UFC tried to pay him off when they bought Pride it's good to see him ram that down their throats. I'd like to see him fight Pat Barry but I'm not so sure Barry deserves the fight.

Tim Boetsch was an awesome comeback. Joe Rogan even went mental. Awseome result for Tim and he deserved it.
So glad Frankie got beat. Henderson looked good and i think he had it by at least 2 rounds. Im hoping him and Pettis go at it again. Just hope Pettis can improve his ground game. Cant see Pettis getting a shot just yet though, thanks to Guida!!! I really dont want to see Henderson v Guida. I cant stand him either.lol.
Agree, Rampage did look like he cant be fussed, he did say he was injured hence why he was overweight but he is just too one dimensional now. He just doesnt look like he is developing his skill set. Just realies on his hands and KO power which just isnt enough these days. Overall thought it was a pretty good event.

Even though the there was no atsmosphere... as in you could hear a pin drop when the fights were on. Thats Japanese fans for ya.

Just found time to watch this. Really good show IMO.
Great to see Hunt still putting people to sleep. Props go to Kongo though for scrambling and genuinely making it back to his feet. Still, how the fcuk can UFC justify paying Kongo more than Edgar (to show)? I very much doubt anybody unrelated to Kongo bought that show to watch him fight yet he was paid $70K to show while Edgar, who was undoubtedly one of the biggest draws on the card, was paid $51K to show! LOL
I've always though Akiyama should drop down to WW. I think he looked good considering it was his first cut. Prob the right decision giving the win to Shields, but, IMO, Akiyama looked good at WW. However, I think if Akiyama wasn't such a big draw in Japan UFC would prob cut him now after 4 straight losses.
Sad to see Rampage dominated. He's been too one-dimensional for far too long. He's really his own worse enemy. He's just so stubborn. Thinks he can beat anybody with boxing alone and, clearly, he can't! Wish he would use his kicks and take-downs. He's capable of both but won't do either. Frustrates me.!!
LOL that Bader's pay was more than doubled by Rampage coming it at 6lbs over!
