Three decent fights on the main card, though not the most exciting card by a long shot. Looking forward to seeing Belfort fight in Brazil! Palhares in a beast. A chunk of a fella. They call him "tree trunk" in Brazil. lol

I hope Belfort sparks "Rumble." He ("Rumble") is a pretty boring fighter to watch. Uses his wrestling to take opponents down then lays on top doing fcuk all until made to stand up. Sure, he's scored a few KOs but, still, his pretty boring.

Anthony Johnson moving up from 170lbs to 185lbs after years of struggling to make the weight and he weighs in at 197lbs? What a dick.

                    Not a great event IMO.

Mendes totally intimidated from the start, never looked confident or comfortable in there. Anthony Johnson deservedly cut from the UFC for repeatedly being unprofessional. Awesome display and KO from Barboza.
Oh and throw in that terrible decision from Yamasaki and it was not a good night. Also what was the deal with the quick standups in the Vitor Johnson fight? It was as though the ref was being influenced by the crowd big time.

Agree with this. I didnt think it would be a fantastic event, but personally thought it was one of teh best UFC's ive seen in a while. Barboza's KO is already looking like being the KO of the year and its only January.

Yamasakhi was an idiot, i mean if your striking someone and they start to turn away from you, you cant be blamed for that. They should retract that decision.

Aldo running into the crowd was mental. lol it was like he was celebrating a goal in a footie match. Im sure Dana will have some words with him about that.

Awesome event overall. Also it seems like the UFC as they have grown are having events every other weekend. Cant complain about that one bit.

That spinning heel kick was so slow **** knows why the guy dropped his hand like that. Either way perfectly on the button lush.

Aldo class of his own way too much there for Chad

Johnson vs Vitor well wtf firstly missing weight by so much I think if what I read is true he made 186.5 at the official weigh in but was so dehydrated the docs made him rehydrate immeadiately therefore ballooning to 197 I also read he was sick to. Either way first part was bs. As for the actually fight wtf I know lets stand them up every few seconds  pointless thought Vitor looked average and this whole event was for the Brazilian people

My mate who is one of the top refs in the UK had a whole lots of stuff to say about Yamasaki and Joe Rogan lol

It was a shocking decision but I also thought Rogan was out of order putting him on the spot like that.
Johnson was 1.5lbs over limit so 187.5lbs but he was dangerously dehydrated so the doctors stopped him and immediately rehydrated him. The standups and the breaks when he had Vitor against the cage all seemed to be deliberate to give Vitor the advantage. Maybe Johnson was out the door no matter the result so the correct result was a better outcome. Then again Dana has no influence over the referees

Guys I'm not sure weather to post every event up for comments? What you think? So many events just don't want it to overtake the whole fighting forum lol

Anyway I agree Blade really enjoy it and some great KO's

I'm glad Joe asked Mario about the so called illegal blows I wish they would ask more refs questions.

I really want to watch this fight. I just know a few sites where the event will be shown. I think Ustream has a ppv version. Justin has some channels. Greenfeedz.com has a good feed.

I really want to watch this fight. I just know a few sites where the event will be shown. I think Ustream has a ppv version. Justin has some channels. Greenfeedz.com has a good feed.

Have't got round to watching this yet so I've scrolled straight down without reading any posts. Plan on watchting tonight. I hope it's a good show. I've had a sh1tty week and can do with something to cheer me up! A vintage Belfort KO would be nice!
