UKBFF Finals 2009 - LIVE report play by play - 17th-18th October

So far the concert hall is at a good 3/4 capacity for the prejudging and providng a great atmosphere for the competitors.
Lighting is great and no ugly shadows cast on the people on stage

Tony Hanson, last years champion is looking great during the free posing.
Fluid transitions, great crowd response.
His conditioning is nailed and should easily make the cut for tomorrows final 10

Darren Oran... truelly great calves and heart shape

Gareth Betteley - Free posing was strong, legs trembling throughout though but this is hard to control with cramps and nerves.

Masters O50's up now

Full of respect for these guys who carry on their training/diet in order to compete at the highest level in the UK

27 - Thick and full... nice quad feathers

28 - Well proportioned but a tad flat

29 - Great legs, needs some more chest thickness

30 - Needed to tan before stepping on stage, great build and conditioning for his age. Much respect

31 - Chest looks full and rounded, abs have some good vascularity..traps are looking good

32 - fantastic development for the his age

34 - looking fantastic with great size, thickness.... conditioning could be a bit dryer though. Nice v-taper

35 - good build, overall balance to his physique

36 - Thick chest but in this tough line up his conditioning lets him down sadly

37 - Very lean, skin on his midsection looks like tracing paper as he poses

38 - Has some good size but his light colouring and conditioning do not show it off to his credit.

39 - A very tall bodybuilder but his upper size doesnt lead this to be a negative issue. Legs could have a bit more outer sweep to balance it out.

its a battle of the giants at the moment with Howard Thomas and Mike Wilson with Paul Ehren playing david between these two goliaths

Mike Wilson has some awesome conditioning but it lacks on his hams/lower back. His abs look crazy with the veins zig-zagging up and down

Graham Park, good choice of music with metallicas 'unforgiven 2'...drying out as he poses which is good to see as this bodes very well for tomorrow's finals....

Stage hands are mopping the area after the guys have worked up a sweat under these strong spot lights. Having been onstage before i know how hot it can get up there so its no wonder they are taking some safety precautions for the girls before they go out there!!

number 42 Vicky Clale- great athletic ability with her back flips and cartwheels!
Gymnastic like control

number 43 Mandy Grant- Varied routine with a range of gymnastic equipment such as the ribbon/ball/hoop... looks like she is wearing a gum shield however?!

Number 44 Nicola Humphries- excellent flexability and energy in her routine. Good slender physique and wouldnt look out of place on any american cheerleading team.

All girls' routines were very good, but Dawn's stands out to me as exceptional, and she has great condition too

Number 45 - Dawn, starts off her routine with a bang with an athletic series of back flips. Great physique, good body control on stage and like Nicola, full of energy.
