Hi all.
Just a wee update on the UKBFF Scottish Championships 2011.
The date for this show is Sunday, May 29th.
We have been getting a great response this year, maybe due to the small detail of having BRANCH WARREN lol,...as our special guest star.
We would like to thank everyone for their kind remarks on how this show has transformed over the years, from being quite literally a small 'local' event for friends in 2006 into being one of the biggest and best National qualifiers on the UKBFF calendar.
Of course it helps when every year we have seen the best pro's and potential pro's appear at the show as special guests. The likes of John Hodgson, Lee Powell, Daz Ball, Stuart Core, Bernie Cooper, Flex Lewis, Zak Khan, Dan Smith and James Llewellin have all been guests on and off the stage, and this year of course we have raised the bar again with Branch Warren, who stands a great chance of winning the coveted Mr Olympia title!
Now, some of the telephone calls we have had recently are from those seeking to compete at the show this year, and who need to know how to get here.
In my opinion, the easiest way is by train.
If you wish to compete or come to spectate and support friends and will arrive here by train, you need to travel to "Paisley Gilmour Street Station".
This station is quite literally across the road from the venue "Paisley Town Hall".
If you would rather fly (and believe me, some are) then the airport to fly into is Glasgow International, which is actually in Paisley, and only a mile and a half from the venue.
I had an email from Branch this morning, and he is so looking forward to this show he is having his people in the U.S. record a particular piece of music especially for the show and has promised to raise the roof.
We can't wait, and we hope everyone has a safe journey and enjoys the show.
