http://www.musclefinesse.com/shop/category/Weight-Gainers/27/Panthera-Primaltein-Mass-45kg/688/detail

£28 for 4.5kg seems pretty good value, one scoop provides 30g of proteins and 82g of carbs and just 5g of sugar..

Well, I bought a tub, to be used in emergencies really - quick meal replacement on hand etc..

but it tastes sweet and I'm a little disappointed to be honest...

Any views on it in terms of what's in it?

I cant see what carbs they are but 82g per serving  is far to much IMO no wonder its sweet.(and cheap its that price on a few sites) .

If i was buying a gainer id look to double the carbs to protein but thats treble mate .

Obviously our diets are all different but that looks very carb heavy.

I've used their protein whey and liked it but Im not keen on that carbs to protein ratio either. I'd probably get some unflavoured whey, cut the serving size in half and add the extra whey to make the ratio a bit better, but that's just me!

^^^not a bad idea...don't tend to think these carbs are very low GI though, kicking myself for buying this now, it's cheap for a reason I'm guessing, might just add it to my porridge in the morning prior to working out which should be ok..

Tastes like mass gain drinks of twenty years ago...

Ive just been on the Panthera Labs website and they claim that only 5grams of the carbs out of the 82grams in one serving are sugars.

          EDIT:
But you already know that lol

The label is incomplete as above and that is being very generous.

Just a point sucralose is 600 times sweeter than table sugar so sweetness in most cases comes more from the sucralose than any carb source.

I've tried shakes with mere 0.06% sucralose and a 50% increase blows it off the sweetness chart as an example.
An Alterego is a paradoxical escape.

It just doesn't state where the carbs come from, 82g of which 5g from sugar, so 77g of what exactly? Also, just one scoop packs in 600+ cals in water alone which seems pretty high...30g of protein crammed into that scoop too!?

                  The maths doesnt add up - 82g carbs + 30g protein + 7g fat = 511 cals but it says 645 cals? why's that?
