    Thai Fighter,
I have been looking at this product for the last few days, as a VERY HARD GAINER, i seem to fall into the trap of having to buy the more expensive products! (have seen for 36.99!! lol)
Is this product one of those where you spend a fortune just to get 10-15 servings?

I'm not a big believer in serving sizes....simply because they're totally made up by the manufacturer. They don't really mean anything out of context of your overall diet.

If you're a very hard gainer, what you need to do is:

    - Work out how many calories you're taking in now
    - Work out where they come from (i.e. the macros - protein, carbs, fats)
    - Increase your daily calories following this by 500

I.e. if you're eating 3,000 calories now, up it to 3,500. If that doesn't make you add muscle weight, add another 500 the next week:

    Week 1: 3,000
    Week 2: 3,500
    Week 3: 4,000

    ...until you gain weight :)

In terms of the composition, I'd go for:

Protein: 1g per lb of bodyweight
Fats: Around 100-150g's of healthy fats (EFAs) from fish, nuts etc.
Carbs: Whatever else you need to fill the difference

So...that's the long way round of discussing this weight gainer. In terms of the ON Serious Mass, it's a popular product that's high quality, and for the weight, pretty good value. It also mixes well, tastes nice, and ....it's Optimum Nutrition....so you know it's a decent product.

Personally, I'd probably edge towards Boditronics Mass Attack as I think it has a better ingredient profile:

    Boditronics Mass Attack

However, they're both good supplements and both could be used as convenient ways to increase your total calories in the style above, in a much easier, more convenient, simpler way than adding tons of meals.....

So basically, yep you pay £36.99 for 16 servings HOWEVER....it's because each serving on the pack is MASSIVE. It's 334g which I doubt anyone could actually comfortably gulp down. You'd be much better off cutting that serving down to 150g's and that'd give you 35 "servings"....and incorporating it into a planned diet, as a convenient meal.

Hope that helps and sorry for the book lol!
