Your training looks great, (very, very impressed with the shoulder presses). How long are you planning this strength phase for?

BNBF club was great ... nearly 60 people turned up !! I didn't feel fat and out of shape but I know I'm not in condition so eff it! I decided not to worry about it. One person commented that I am looking the leanest off season that she's seen me so that really made me smile... even though I am the heaviest I've been Also had a chat to someone and was talking about trying to focus on my strength at the moment and I've decided to ditch the AM cardio and focus all energies on shifting the weights at the gym As long as I keep my diet in check and stick with my 2 HIIT sessions a week, I should be able to keep on top of the fat levels.. will see how it goes I am quite scared of ditching the walkies but what he said made a lot of sense so will see how it goes

I was really afraid when I was told to quit it, and it left a bit of a gap. After 3 or 4 days I really started to notice I was no longer tired during the day, I wasn't nodding off like I had been and I woke refreshed after a good nights sleep. All this just because I had an extra 45 minutes in bed. I have an idea combined with the other stuff I've been doing it's helped me grow, even in just a short time.

Whoever told you about the CV I think was right. You looked 'not fat' today if that makes sense, and very different to where you started last season - a lot more muscle clearly there and it suits you too! Was nice to hear you so relaxed, and you posed beautifully too :-)

Thank you SO much for posting that, very reassuring indeed ! I am still slightly nervous of dropping the cardio but you have really made me feel so much better about it - thank you kitty 60 people, OMG!! That's HUGE. I was pleased with 16 at the NW one last month LOL!! I know ! It was mega !.. so many really, really good figure girls there as well eeeeeek ! I don't know what has happened over the last few years but it seems like the figure class has exploded So nice to see so many ladies weight training and not being cardio bunnies Did remind me however how so far behind everyone I am but I will get there

You looked 'not fat' today if that makes sense, and very different to where you started last season - a lot more muscle clearly there and it suits you too! Was nice to hear you so relaxed, and you posed beautifully too :-) It was Lee, was chatting to him over noms noms saying as I wasn't competing this year I was trying to focus on strength goals as opposed to how I look and he suggested I would be better focusing all my energies on my performance and as long as I didn't go mad with my diet I shouldn't put too much fat on and if I did I could diet it off Really did make a lot of sense when I thought about it Seeing some of the figure girls yesterday really also made me realise how far behind I am in terms of my muscularity - I want uber shoulders and uber biceps and some god damn quads ! And if it means in that process I end up gaining a little fat then I'm just going to have to do it! My Husband will still love me if I'm a teeny bit bigger so just gotta get on with it and get those weights lifted.. would prefer to try and keep my fat levels as we are but the beauty of not competing this year is that I have time to correct stuff if it doesn't quite work out which I've never had before - I've always trained for competing as opposed to training and then competing .. trust me to do things backwards Thank you so much for your lovely kind words, I came away feeling very motivated I forgot how much posing hurts but I still love doing it hififi Club was most fabby today! SoOo kule to see all the gang and lots of new faces. Welshy does look gorgy! I think losing the morning walkies makes a LOT of sense loverley. Bring on the guns! xx RAAAAAAAAAAAH !! Bah, hill sprints didn't quite work out The hill I did them on last week is quite a trek away so it's not so bad jogging there ( about 20 mins ) but then getting back is a bit of a drain so I decided to use some steps instead Only I got there and there were nowhere near as many steps as I thought :/ FAIL !! I did some sprints up the steps but it only took me about 5 seconds so after 5 minutes it just seemed utterly pointless so I came back home. Think I might have to bike to the hill and back in future

Lots of Quad definitely needed. Not so much Shoulder (yours are actually good!) ditto biceps. I think you should also bear in mind, you had to blast your diet and CV so much last prep, I think you dieted off some muscle at the time; so how you looked may not have been a true representation of what you've really got. You didn't ALWAYS train for competing, you trained a lot BEFORE you decided to compete. For me, I train TO compete; if I didn't compete I'm not sure how much I'd train...

I don't think my shoulders have that lovely rounded cap to them .. I want it ! Phem's were looking superb yesterday - I want them ones ! I think you're absolutely right about the muscle loss, it would be silly to think I didn't.. I had to hit it so hard I'm bound to have lost some so next time when I get a nice slow run in to get to the same or better condition, coupled with some muscle gain, I WILL look better and I WILL get a trophy ! I did train before but to be honest, not really properly BB styleeeeeeee ... and I'm the same as you, if I didn't compete I would be rubbish at training hififi Welshy Seeing some of the figure girls yesterday really also made me realise how far behind I am in terms of my muscularity - I want uber shoulders and uber biceps and some god damn quads !
