I would have picked up on the smelling pistake, but more often than not anyone who does that makes one themselves in their reply making them look twice as foolish So what're you training tomorrow as I'm offline shortly and I'll miss it

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.... SH1TE SH1TE SH1TE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! had a crap session... started with some racks, worked up to 240k and felt a 'pinch/ twinge' in my right arse cheek.. so scrapped them.. did 3 sets of light cleans, 50kx8 reps.. did 2 sets of upright row with same weight and reps.. did some farmers holds with 100k each hand and some incline shrugs wi some db's.. finished with some barbell curls and sulked home!!!! sooooo p1st off!! doesnt feel too bad now but it p1st m,e right off... i can be bothered with gettin injured!!! its stuff like this that puts me off trainin with a strength based routine.. lower reps and deads etc... i need some stretchin done, my hams are far too tight to do racks/ deads with proper efficiency and to minimise risk of injury!! this has got me questioning wat im doin once again!! takes the p1ss!!!

had a nice little blow out last night! first bit of drink in 2009 and it was good... not much of a hangover today either which is welcome.. think i needed it, things with the ex keep creepin up and its so up and down with us, weve been spendin more time together recenelty and a lot of the time its great, but then she starts actin like a d1ck and bein funny!! arrrggghhhh, f*ckin women!! anyway, good thing is i can t wait t get t the gym tomorro.. back is felin ok, will start stretchin much more often as of tomorro.. the last session had me pondering other routines for a whle until my back started t feel much better.. had me thinkin maybe i should just carry on with the BBin type approach.. but i'm reet!!

use the anger for your next session... remember how sh.t your last workout was and ask yourself before your sets, "am i going to let this workout be another one" if your driven, using past failure can motivate future performances

Warming up (or preparing) is one aspect. But also, plenty of stretching at the end - it aids your recovery and is a good time to develope your flexibility..... and if you general flexibility is improved then it should have a +ve effect all round. It won't stop you from being a pansy if you play cricket tho

I keep trying to do some stretches on a night but it's just so f*cking boring and uncomfortable. Now I could be well off but do you think your routine could have a bit too much crossover between workouts ? ie individual muscles not getting enough rest?
No biggie like, there are a lot worse things for you than using steroids, I mean I probably shouldn't have been smoking crack or getting into bar fights at your age TBH - drab4

just got back from gym- bench- worked up to- 130x5 135x5 140 x 8 150x7 - - - - these last 2 i had some gym spot me, he was a big (im gonna say turkish) guy, big guy, good physique, but spotted me with a little too much help!! suppose was good t feel the heavier weight tho, think i had the 4 on 140 t be honest, it felt light at first, would have got 2 on the 150 imo so not all too bad, next wk is speed reps wk anyway... standing db shoulder press-palms facing worked up to- 34x6x3 - will up the weight next time.. Db row- 60x7 x6 x6 face pulls- 56x15 64x12, dropset, 25x10 hammer curls- 26x10x2 28x8 finished with some pushdowns.. good session, although the spotting was a little too helpful, i still felt pretty strong!! now the questins and comments- DV- yeah i need t start doin some post workout stretching, i started doin more cooling down at the end of each session but i keep forgettin.. will start doin this! as for the cricket somment, il ignore that one.. ;-) i dont play anymore, all down to injury and the fact i started t love training int gym more than the sport! got too 'heavy' for what i was doin... pagan- i know wat u mean mate, routine is; mon-bench, shoulder press, db row, face pulls weds- squats, step ups, good mornings, pull thrus, calves thurs- push press, either incline bench or db shoulder press, cgbp, pull ups sat- racks, hang cleans, farmers hold, incline shrugs, BB curls so there should be enough rest t be honest mate, i know what u mean tho as i am training parts of my back on sat then monday then thursday, but i dont feel 'overtrained' in that respect, everythin feels fresh when i train.... i think in all honesty it is all down to my sh1te flexibility!!

Aaarrrrggh - I hate it when you ask for a spot and they keep pulling the weight out of your hands, the most infuriating thing. That's why I live and die in teh power rack. The only down side is for decline I have to step on to the preset bench and as I'm new to it, do it last and go loopy on the reps I have to ask for a spot just in case and I dread it every time. stretching doesn't have to be ages, just allow yourself 15 mins - and get a foam roller too, best £20 I have EVER spent (including that night in Brussels)

hahaha yeah i need t get a roller!! meant to invest the other week.. ill get one this wkl me thinks!! dont get me wrong he wasnt goin crazy, but just enough to hide the stickin spot of my bench!! i could def feel it bein a bit easy, but still felt it at the end! he also commented on my grip, he dint say he thought i had too narrow a grip.. he said ' ur grip IS too narrow!! i wasnt sure but he had his hands where i wanted mine and said put them on the outside of mine.. som i did, dint feel too bad, but i like my lower arms be paralell to each other at the bottom of my bench, when i used hi grip, they were pointing away from me each side a little, more like a powerlifters grip!!

some def was me mate, ive felt a lot fuller and stronger in the last few days, with improvements on the push press last thurs i was thknin that i would better last wks bench.. but yeah without doubt i wouldnt have got 8 mate... he was a tad generous with the spotting!! maybe thats why when he benches with his mate he benchs over 170...?? he seemed to think i was doin great and even said it was all me!! haha.. nice guy...... ;-) lmao
