Overhead press and shrugs imo. Chuck in some side raises and upright rows for the delts.

yungdest81 Overhead press and shrugs imo. Chuck in some side raises and upright rows for the delts. military press is the king (weather with bar or bells, seated or standing) shrugs are great for your traps, but dont do much of anything for your delts. lateral raises are good (side, front and rear raises) push press can also be great, but you need to be careful with it. just make sure you dont do anything behind the neck.

clean and presses are amazing for shoulder development - i dont take it down to the floor just down to waist and back up - flex lewis style - really good exercise

asad85 clean and presses are amazing for shoulder development How is cleaning the weight up to shoulder height before pressing it in any way beneficial to delt development (except for the work done by the rear delts in the pulling movement off the floor/hang position)? Is there any benefit cleaning the weight and then pressing it, as opposed to just taking the bar off a rack and pressing it? I'm genuinely interested!

its a great movement - u should try it. I normally do smith machine presses before hand and then go onto these – they work for me and my training partner. Its something I took from watching flex lewis training on gaspari website – have a look – I like them not expecting everyone to.

From a hang clean (as suggested initially), full delt recruitment is employed in getting the bar up to the neck (think like an upright row) along with the biceps and traps.

Interesting. I have tried them before but I was never really that bothered about getting my clean technique right. And I couldn't really see a way of incorporating them into my routine, at the time I was training shoulders with legs but this generally meant anterior and lateral, I just left the posterior delt work to be done incidentally on Back and Bi's day, same with traps. I saw no benefit in 'doubling up' posterior delt and trap work to being hit twice a week by cleaning on a separate day to deadlifting/rowing, etc but that was just in the context of my particular routine at the time. But I can see how they could be useful.
