RedHotF Nigeepoo RedHotF Dad buys his shanks from the butchers next door - they're 50p each!!! Blimey, that's cheap! How long do they take to cook? The Aldi ones are pre-cooked and take ~10mins in the microwave from frozen including frozen side veggies. I'm not sure, I think the old man cooks them for quite a long time in a sort of stew / casserole. It does smell good! theyre only cooked slowly because theres alot of ligaments that need long cooking to melt. if you did them quickly theyd end up really chewy. i think the cheaper cuts are the tastier ones anyway. i do mine for 8 hours at gas mark 1/4 - you could carve then with a spoon!

AlriteGeezer P.S cheers Nige!! i was tearing my hair out yesterday!! lol only problem is.. i cant seem to get the pics any bigger, at least their here now though!! lol You may be linking to urls of thumbnail pictures. If you can get a bigger picture displayed on photobucket, right-click on it, select and copy its location, then use that as the image url.
