What is the best tasting protein powder out there?
17 February 2010 15:44
( permalink)
I buy in bulk so don't care and therefore wouldn't know where to start. I'd like to get the missus something that will help with post op recovery (knee surgery). She's very picky when it comes to flavours so what's the best tasting powder out there??? ps, no point in posting in appropriate forum as this one gets the most traffic.

I'm using Extreme Nutrition Chocolate at the min and it's pretty good. Elite Mint Choc Chip is nice too.

Myofusion is alright, but BSN Syntha6 Cookies & Cream or Chocolate Peanut blows everything else right out the water. Hands down the nicest tasting drinks I've ever tried, they aren't the best nutritionally though..

personally i get sick of tasting the same flavour multiple times a day or day in day out so the last 2yrs ive been buying my whey protein from the whey consortium unflavoured and i just mix it with whatever i like! 5kg for under £40 you cant go wrong!

syntha six is by far the best, the flavours have a very natural taste, alot of proteins taste artificial or too sweet or have a nasty after taste. i buy in bulk, but if i wanted to splash out on something tasty it would be syntha six

MyProtein always taste good. Cookies and Cream or Mint Choc are my favourites. They do small sample packs you can order as well.

the myprotein cookies and cream is nice, but too sweet. if you tried it back to back with the syntha six cookies and cream then there would be no contest. that said all my stuff is myprotein, £100+ a month, as its much better value.

Buy in bulk from myprotein and mix in your own flavour, to be fair she's a women and will change her mind every five minutes so not much point buying a lot of one flavour.

I've been with myprotein for many years, would never change but I feel a 'branded' powder would appeal to her tastes.

Myofusion is generally tasty, though you quickly start to get used to them. Only flavour I don't really like is the mint-chocolate flavour.

BSN Syntha-6 is the nicest I've tried.
