What's yer training regime like ?
22 January 2010 10:33
( permalink)
I lift iron 4 days a week Mon : legs/abs Wed: Chest/Traps Fri: Back/bis Sun: chest/tris on the 3 days I dont lift I do 50 mins cardio, mainly on a stationary bike as I'm a lazy bastid and can read a book or watch TV. I once fell asleep while still cycling, a mate woke me up - lol But I also sometimes do 30 mins stationary bike on my main lifting days especially if I'm cutting And I also sometimes do 30 mins weight on my cardio days, either chest or bi's. Depending on how my body feels. I do try to train some how every day. What about you ?

Rest is something I really should do but I keep telling myself I can rest when I die. Probably detrimental to my gains but I almost never take a day off training of some sort.

I do weights 3 times a week using a push , pull, legs routine. 15ish sets per workout 8 - 12 reps per set. Routine built round squat , deadlift and bench press. Try to do cardio most days even if its just a good half hour walk. Think rest and diet are extra important as you get older, or is it just me

Northern Rocker Reborn Im the only one in my gym who doesnt train biceps....ever ! you mean directly of course. But why's that ? Just curious. Been carrying an injury where the bicep connects to the forearm for about 7mths. I dont do any pulls or curls as a result. Deads and Stiff armed pushdowns in the main for back.

ouch. How long till you can train the bi's again ? It's murder having a bad injury. I've got a bad shoulder which is really causing me problems right now, it's affecting my bench, direct shoulder training of course, and also upper back i.e. pullups, lat pull down etc.

For me its not that simple because my training is 100% interwoven with my recovery from alcoholism. That said sooner or later I might have to.
