When to do reverse bb curls?

I consider myself to be a novice still, but when should i do reverse curls for forearms? I tink my forearms are quite undeveloped compared... this could be just becaues i need to train more. Heres a video that i have been watching and following this guys advice on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8C1a0l4q5HU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HO11jDDuL-Y I have done a few reverse BB curls but i do not to many, just now and again, as he has advised to only do these if you are advanced.

People say that forearms are generally genetic related. I don't do any particular forearm exercise however i found doing the big compound lifts and doing a few general curling exercises that my that my forearms have increased in size. IMO i wouldn't bother with them but thats just me.

My forearms got a lot stronger by compound lifts as well. One thing that I found did better my forearm strength was a underhand grip on the rowing machine. Do that for 10 minutes over a few weeks andf you will feel the benefits.

I do not have a row machine but would doing a row technique on a leg extension bench add on do the same trick?

Don't worry about reverse curls at this stage. You're forearms will get bigger as you get bigger as a whole so just concentrate on that.I've never trained forearms directly apart from a very rare set or two of wrist curls. As said they will be worked enough from rows, deads, chins etc and will be hit while doing regular curls.

Reverse curls & wrist curls are a waist of time IMO, especially for a novice. As has already been said your forearms will get plenty of attention from compound pull work.

Sound advice I have read here. I do do forearm exercises, but the reason is that I am a semi pro guitar player, and need the strenght in my forearms because of it, believe it or not lol.
