Whey Protein from Asda

Does anyone know anything about the Whey protein sold at Asda? Is it any good? Does anyone here use it?

I couldnt recognise its make/name but here are its details.

BODY SUPREME, PURE WHEY PROTEIN SUPPLEMENT

NET WT.908g

Per 100g Each Serving(28g)

Energy 383kcal 107kcal
Protein 66.8g 18.7g
Carbohydrates 9.7g 2.7g
Sugars 4.3g 1.2g
Fat 8.5g 2.4g
saturates 3.1g 0.9g
Fibre 2.4G 0.14g
Sodium 0.51g 0.14g

Im not sure what to look out for. Can you tell from the above if its any good? Is the amount protein per serving the same as in any other whey protein?

It costs £13 at Asda... is it worth it?

Thanks

i've never seen it my self in asda but is it isolate or concentrate ? but i use all-in-ones unflavoured whey concentrate and you can get 10lbs with delivery for £22.00 ish they are one of m/t sponsors (remember to put the coupon code in if you do order from them, which is "muscle talk" to recieve the discount)
there are loads of other brands out there its just a matter of choice
someone else might have used the whey from asda and they will be able to tell you a bit more
    thanks

I think its a mixture of Concentrate and isolate. Here is what is at the bootom of the tub..

Ingredients Protein Blend(Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate), Cocoa Powder, Flanvourings, Cellulose Gum, Salt, Stabiliser(Xantham Gum), Sweetener(Acesulfame K) Dicalcium Phospate, Calcium Carbonate.

I got it from Asda in Watford. They have Creatine as well but i dont use it.

Considering some of the prices in the myprotein offer (eg whey £4.50/kg), £13 for 900g of asda stuff seems overpriced.

If you have one serving a day, thats a months supply. You can get 5 and a half months supply of All-in-1 unflavoured for a few quid more. Enough said

There is a thread on this here: http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/Holland_and_Barrett%3F/m_1136906/tm.htm

I just bought some today - Strawberry. Had it with water, but am going to try it with milk next.

For the price, you can get much longer lasting products from the net, but I am unable to do so at the moment, so high street stores are my once choice!

67% protein and 10% carbs 8.5% fat is very poor ratios for a protein powder.

Should be more like 80% protein and carbs/fat <5%

Do not touch it. The taste will make you gag. I had to hold my nose every time I drank it. Choc flavour had this weird tangy coffee taste. Regardless of how good it may or may not be I would steer clear mate!

I did try it with milk.. the taste is not that bad.. or maybe i think that because its the only whey protein i've ever tasted...

I just made an order from myprotein.co.uk... im not sure how that one will taste..
