Which Muscle rub
14 March 2010 11:47
( permalink)
I am normally very lucky at staying injury free, however the last few weeks i have been getting strong tendonitis in both arms just below the bicep on the joint. Thought id get some muscle rub to ease the pain, any good recommendations. Cheers

Don't bother they don't work. Far too superficial and only irritates the skin to cause the feeling of heat - the muscles won't see any of it mind. You'd be much better off with some neoprene sleeves or something to increase heat in the area.

Deep heat is okay if you have too. Not a great rub and very superficial. RadionB is much better Never used equi block but I hear it dose the biz like no other! Use with caution it seems though! Using a rub from zipvit atm. Not as intense as deep heat but gets much deeper and stays longer.

I use tiger balm & elbow wraps when I need to, but only when I need to. Don't become reliant on them!

Tiger Balm Red is excellent. Deep Heat just makes your skin tingle. With Tiger Balm, once applied, you should cover the area concerned. Once the heat effect has worn off, uncover and the cooling kicks in. Was a godsend when I used to do Kungfu. Not needed it in the gym.
