Will jack3d be banned in the UK?
11 January 2012 08:41
( permalink)
There is a lot of attention n this product at the moment. I'm just wondering if it could become banned in the UK? In canada dmaa has now been banned. Just wondering if the UK would follow suit if it is proven that the dmaa sold in jacked is actually a synthetic version and not from the oil.

Should be a good debate
The last three or four reps is what makes the muscle grow. This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is not a champion.

Its a little silly the case given tbh - without knowing dosage etc used its hard to know what is safe or not. Pretty much anything can kill you.

After looking at a few of the pre workout supps, there is quite a few that contain the ingredient 1, 3-DIMETHYLAMLYMAINE. I actually thought jack3d was the only one that contained this. So all hope is not lost if jack3d is pulled. 1MR Cellucor c4 Chaotic rage If all the pre workouts have dmaa in then why is it that only jack3d is the one that is gaining attention?

Agree - IMO proper education and information is the way forward over banning stuff. Though with this one, it is actually falling foul of novel food laws as opposed to something else - basically anything that is to be released as a food supplement has to either of been used in this country, or another member state, for a certain period of time. If it has not been used before, it needs to be proven to be safe, etc, etc. Problem is this costs money, and that means lots of interesting ingredients will never see the light of day - great way to stiffle innovation. With DMAA I was reading a recent case where a guy had a brain haemorrage - in fact, same site - http://www.nutraingredien...-haemorrhage-in-NZ-man - stuff like that will ramp up efforst to remove from shelves... There are TONNES of DMAA products out there, will take a while to remove them all, but you will find that most manufacturers will themselves be removing and moving on to the next 'legal' option

i think it will be banned, when im not sure, but i know certain supp companies have already pulled the ingredient out of their products. 1MR im pretty sure removed 1,3 Dim afew months back. Jack3D is still currently being produced with it in, but for how long i dont know. *Jack wont be banned, just the 1,3Dim ingredient will be.

Its not, it is the Ingredient that is illegal not the product so if the enforce the ban on DMAA then all products containing it will go . Its just that Jack3d is the most high profile one . I think it is only a matter of time before they all disappear but the enforcement agencies are notroiously ineffcient and inconsistant as outlined in the artcle . You will notice all these products are from the USA ! UK companies have not been able to use this ingredient for years possibly never ... Typical double standards from the agencies

Though there seems to be a few other pre workouts that some people say are just as good as jack3d. Like craze and that white flood. Like tony said it's only a matter of time until they find a new legal ingredient that will do pretty much the same thing. Tony what you say about education people makes a lot more sense than just banning it. It's quite hypicritcal banning a dmaa really when you have alcohol and cigarettes on the shelf.

Reckon all these products will go pretty soon in the states Jack 3D being only one of them. Interesting to see a rugby league player got a long ban for testing positive for DMAA couple of weeks back in the UK.

Certainly looks ok, I would just message the e bay store for more verification. I would be quick though mate in my experience selling on e bay they can pull the plug on perfectly legal supplements if they decide the product goes against their drugs and drugs paraphernalia
