Aims: Always wanted a build like Hugh Jackman in 'Wolverine' (hence the name) but my new aim is Chris Hemsworth in 'Thor'. I just think he's got a good balance of size and leaness, not too bulky and not too ripped, which is what I'm aiming for, plus very good proportions. Not under the illusion I will reach that by the end of this challenge but that's what I'm aiming for longterm. So my aim for the challenge is basically to bulk up but not put on too much fat! It would be fantastic to get up to 14 stone without porking up too much, and add a couple of inches to my chest and thighs and an inch on my arms.
Workout Schedule: I do weights 3 times a week, currently on a 3 day split of Back/Biceps, Chest/Triceps and Legs/Shoulders. Also swim 20 lengths after each gym session and at least one, sometimes 2 swimming-only sessions of 60 lengths (swimming is my only cardio).
Diet is a bit patchy to be honest. I tend to eat fairly cleanly during the week then it goes downhill at weekends! I also know I need to be eating more to bulk up but I do struggle with it as I'm not naturally a big eater.
Supplements: I suck at the teat of the almighty MyProtein and I swear by Hurricane XS in Chocolate Smooth. I also use Tribulus Terrestris and ZMA sometimes, and also have NO2 Extreme. For anyone else who uses MyProtein, here's a cool tip - if you are a big shopper at Tesco and earn Clubcard Vouchers, you can do an exchange on the Tesco Clubcard website where for every £5 of Clubcard vouchers, you get £10 of Mankind.co.uk vouchers, which is a male grooming product site. However, they sell MyProtein products (not the full range but quite a lot of stuff) and offer free delivery, so what you can do is exchange your Clubcard vouchers for Mankind.co.uk vouchers and basically get MyProtein products for half price plus free delivery. Cool huh?
Pics: These (obviously) were taken cold, no pump, bad lighting etc. You can see I've got a lot of work to do but I've actually come a fair way from a couple of years ago, in terms of gaining weight!
