On the Pullum site, there's a size 58 shirt which it says is suitable for a 46/48" chest. That one's £60 though. The one on eBay might go for £30 so worth a punt. If it doesn't fit I'll re-sell it and maybe lose a couple of £'s. Or I might simply have to grow into it

For less than last night's drinking cost, it's got to be worth a go and if it's too baggy I'll just keep checking eBay or bung Dave some money for when he goes to Canada and buy one new cheap as chips from the US in a size that fits. I'm just keen to see if these shirts are as good as they're cracked up to be.

Just had a look at the Titan shirts. Pricey, even in $'s.

Titan are no pricer than Inzer, like for like. Metal are the most costly out of the 3.

Inner peak session:

Split jerk (first time ever)

bar x 5
40kg x 2
60kg x 1
80kg x 1
90kg x 1
100kg x 0- ****ing funny as LM has it on film, bar flipped out of the rack
100kg x 0
100kg x 1 easy
110kg x 0
110kg x 1 - 10kg all time overhead PR

Walked out 115 but didnt attempt it.

Floor press

60kg x 8
80kg x 5
100kg x 3
120kg x 2 - rep PR
125kg x 1 - PR
130kg x 0 (would have equalled bench PR)

Bent over row

60kg x 10
80kg x 12
90kg x 10
100kg x 6

Alternating curl

14kg's x 10, 5
12kg's x 6

External rotations

7kg x 8 HUGE PR
8kg x 5 HUGE PR
6kg x 15 HUGE PR

Done. Wicked session. Thought we d try some overhead stuff in preperation for Iain's comp. My lats really hurt now! Pleased with the floor pressing, hopefully if I hit 130-135 in the next 2-3 weeks I ll have a run at a 3 plate bench.

At least I know now that whatever I can clean I ll be able to press. Floor pressing is quality, not done a lot of it before, but hopefully I ll have an extra 5-10kg when I return to benching.

Are you doing no straight benching? I'd advice to do some even if its light stuff.

Havent done any sustained benching with a bar for probably 8-10 weeks due to my ****ed elbow. I did one session to see where I was at and hit an easy 120kg and then 150kg of a 3 board.

Now my elbow seems to be improving Im going to phase in some light pressing on RE upper days along with some jerks because they re awsome fun!

When floor pressing has run its course in 2-3 weeks I ll swap that out for benching again, hopefully I ll knock off 140 then. Ive been able to press 130 for over a year but my elbow has stopped play at that point!

ME Lower, last session before I have 2 wisdom teeth out at the hospital tomorrow...

Squat-

50kg x 8
75kg x 5
100kg x 3
130kg x 1
150kg x 1
160kg x 1- PR
165kg x ? questionable depth, vid coming
165 x 0 took stance too wide and had nothing.

If memory serves ive done either 155 or 160 before but with a VERY dodgy depth (ie nowhere near //).

RDL

60kg x 5
100kg x 3
150kg x 10
160kg x 6- LM says 5, I swear it was 6!

Split jerks

40kg x 3
50kg x 2, 2
60kg x 1, 1, 1
70kg x 1, 1, 1
80kg x 2
90kg x 0, 1- easy, just want concentrating first time.

Not a bad session, pleased with the 160kg squat. This will be a good start to move on from in the search for 180kg, which hopefully will happen by xmas.
20kg to go.

Back Squat Vid

You did do 6 reps on the RDL. However, it was a set of 5 then a set of 1 afterwards

Very difficult to tell. On first glance it looks high but the angle of filming doesn't help in any way at all. Guess you'll have to do it again next week.

Just had 2 wisdom teeth out, which let me tell you ****ing hurt! Surgery was 6:45ish and I got back to my room just in time to watch BSM at channel 5 at 8. Feeling pretty groggy still and cant eat anything which sucks but im hoping to be up and running again asap.

Feeling a bit better today, still kinda wobbly, probably due to the painkillers that im on. Went into town briefly and managed to walk around ok for a bit. Pain in my mouth is easing slightly, hoping to eat my first solidish food tonight. No chance of training on friday, I may go in on saturday just to go an easy session however. Sunday nailed on for RE Upper (I hope).

Halved my dose of painkillers today with no ill effects so far. Dizzyness totally gone, feeling much better. Should be fine to pull some lightish deads tomorrow I hope. Eating wise im getting a little better, couldnt manage anything crunchy yet, but its coming along much faster than I thought it would. I dont seem to have any bruising yet either.

Looks like you are on the mend! I'd suggest this coming week just do what you can took keep in the groove and save yourelf for some big pulls nxt sat! Personally I am gon train my bench as normal as I wil, be snatching not pressing and I will just do some light pulling and snatching on wed with no assistance lifts.

Plan is:

Tomorrow-

Pull light if I can

Sunday-

RE Upper, very easy

Tuesday

ME Lower, but will take the form of returning to 3x3's starting at 140kg so shouldnt be too hard.

Thursday-

Some kind of upper body stuff

Sat-

try to put up some respectable numbers! Without teeth pulling I was shooting for 230-235 dead and 100 overhead. Be interesting to see what happens.

The 'Plan' is:

Deadlift:

210/230/235 (if 210 feels heavy I ll go 220/then whatever)

Overhead:

80/90/100 (possibly 85/100/100)

I really want to hit 230+ in the deadlift but these last few days may have halted play somewhat. I figured id hit a safe 210, then a 2.5kg PR with 230 and then go crazy.

Overhead wise, totally confident of 80 and 90 so after hitting one of those, I ll crack on with 100 probably (never cleaned that before).

That look ok to you?

Looks like a plan. Just want your openers to write down really, and they can be changed.

I am in annot too disimlar position, not 100% a pb is on for the deads but I'll assume it is and hopefuly I'll at least get 2 lifts in!

Im going to go and do some light pulling in a bit, just to grease the groove before next weekend. Still feeling a little out of it but im only taking antibiotics, nurofen and paracetamol now so I should survive ok.

Only thing im worried about is stitches popping, but im sure they ll be fine. If I dont post back later get LM to call the hospital!
