That zephead guy on tnation is a total prick! Yeah, although his last post was a bit more measured. When you squat, what kind of bar position do you use? Probably a medium type position ie not truly a high bar but not that low either. Below is an example of my bar position; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28sE8S9DT3I If low makes you stronger then thats the position for you!

True. Maybe he got a bit carried away. Thanks for the link, I generally sit the bar in a pretty similar position to you. I ll have a play around with it in the war ups next week. Using our rack you have to keep your hands inside the pins though, because they re aligned in such a way that if you dont you may well lose your fingers! (I hate that place so much!)

I find it hard to get a good low bar position without really spreading my hands. Whilst at home from uni I train at the local leisure centre, a DC site called the Taro centre, with Lord Monkcheese. Whilst at uni I train in the uni gym, which has proper power racks and is a lot better. Whereabouts do you train? Did I see you say that you went to the Iron Maiden gig at Twickenham by the way?

Is the uni gym any good? It'll do the job! Better rack than yours! If you guys ever want to come down during the week and train let me know. If LM is a working man that would be hard but yourself being a lazy student wouldn't have a problem!! Actually I am running a comp at the uni on sat the 16th august. Floor to overhead anyhow, deadlift and farmers walk. You guys would be more than welcome?

I ll ask LM. Hes working in Havant at the moment so its not totally out of the way. Comp wise, how much are the farmers? never done them before! I ll give the dead/overhead a go. I ll try and get LM on board. How many people are going to give it a bash?

Probably about approx 10 guys coming down. Most off sugden board and here and there. IOpener from here will be going along with Sivvy. Gona have 100kg inplements for max distance. It's just a jolly so doubt all but a few guys will actually be training for the farmers. If you can deadlift 200kg you can pick up the 200kg worth of farmers implements and move them forward to some degree!

ME lower- Back squat 60kg x 5 100kg x 3 120kg x 3 130kg 3 x 3- easy, last set felt like I couldve done 5 or more. LM kindly took a video of set 2. Single leg box squat 3 sets of 10 on each leg RDL 90kg x 12 110kg x 12 130kg x 12 Did a few powercleans and front squats. Not a bad little session. Squats got easier as I went. Hopefully next week I ll hit 140/145 for a 3. Due to me possibly hitting Iain's comp in August Im going to start deadlifting on RE upper. Nothing too hard, maybe hit a similar 3 x 3 system with around 80% so...thats like 180. Eeeeaaasssssyyyy.

Video uploaded: Back Squat - 130kg x 3 Taking Iain's advice Dave faced away from the mirror and I called depth. It sounds like I'm calling very late but that was because I was viewing the lifts through the camera rather than watching the actual squats and there's a slight delay on the view on the camera. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-kyL5u3nl8

Ha ha!! Check out your 500lb Deadlift YouTube clip. I'll post the comment you've received here. You may want to reply: That's a lot of weight for someone your size. However, dude, you don't want to roll the weight like that... you are going to DESTROY your back doing that. Drop 100 lbs off the bar and do it with strict form instead. Your back will thank you.
How old do you reckon he is - 15?
