Hmm, not a bad idea. I've never done them, but may give them a try when I'm back with my barbell. If I am to enter a bench comp sometime next year then I think I may throw in a couple band press/floor press cycles into my training. I've tried board presses before and got alot from them, they're just abit awkward to set up when training solo.

Give it a try mate, you ll never know unless you give it a reasonable swing. Personally I wont stay with floor press or rev band for over three weeks going heavy because they tend to start to **** me up a little after that. If you re going to rotate your main pressing exercise then id perhaps suggest using full range benching, floor pressing, incline and rev band

One week today until I can put more than BW through my knee again (ie squat). Ive been really careful with it this week so as to put no extra pressure on the tendon but I feel like I should get it moving about a bit now. Im going to stat doing a few BW squats every day and some mobility and see how it handles it. If I can do 10 squats pain free today, I ll do 20 tomorrow etc etc.

Bench, bands and floor presses I can do, incline however I can't! I'll see what happens anyway. Hope the knee sorts itself out bud.

What ive always done is bench first but varied the intensity accordingly and changed up the main assistance lift, rather than rotating exercises Westside style. Im sure either way works! Just been for an hours walk. Knee ****ing loved it.

Good news. Looking at MP now, £3.50 for straps. And am going to give liquid chalk a try too. Fed up of having my living room covered in chalk.

Some squatting is surely better than no squatting Dave. Besides, if starting low results in a full recovery for your knee, definately worth it?

Absolutely not mate although I think I easily could be an 82. I only weighed 87.4kg at the comp. Id rather be heavier but not being able to squat or pull combined with some gash diet in the last 6 weeks has taken its toll. Now my knee is back in action again (well tuesday) im going to start doing some cardio and training harder so hopefully I should get up to a solid 90 quite fast.

Cheers buddy, seems to have done the trick. As I know exactly what irritates it I ll just make an effort to stay away from that and hope that the next stage is some orthotics. 35 mins exercise bike - was meant to be squatt/deadlifting today but the gym was shut due to the snow, hopefully they ll be open tomorrow.
