Yeah maybe on the horizon. I want to do one this year, be nice to have a 'total' to work on insted of just gym numbers done at staggered intervals. The most ive ever done 110 for is 8 bounced so this was a good effort today. I think i might have a bounced 140 in me. As soon as I locate some money knee and elbow sleeves are getting purchased too. Good news on the job mate!!

Start work back at Vodafone on Friday. 6 month contract, sh1t loads of money, happy days. It's based between Newbury, Paddington and occasionally Germany so in terms of finding a gym central to that it's going to have to be the Taro. Great

Lord Monkcheese Start work back at Vodafone on Friday. 6 month contract, sh1t loads of money, happy days. It's based between Newbury, Paddington and occasionally Germany so in terms of finding a gym central to that it's going to have to be the Taro. Great ****ing awesome news dude! Glad you ve found something. Shame about the Taro but on the plus side we can still train together. Game cancelled today due to crash on the M4, hence random session: Reverse band bench using doubled mini's'* 80kg x 8 100kg x 8 120kg x 6 140kg x 3 160kg x 0** 120kg x 8 120kg x 4 close grip *bands took about 40kg at the chest ** hand a VERY dodgy uneven handoff, nearly flipped me off the bench. Think I wouldve got it otherwise. DB shoulder press 17.5kg x 6 27.5kg x 9, 8, 8 HS row using 1 arm 20kg x 10 30kg x 10 40kg x 10 both arms 80kg x 6, 6, 6 Chin up 8, 6, 4 Shrug 100kg x loads DB single arm preacher curl 15kg x 8, 7, 5 Good session, reverse band pressing is ****ing awesome.

I think 10kg ish at the top. I wouldve taken it again but I benched 2 days ago and this was really a **** about session. I like the movement a lot, although I dont think using doubled mini's is a great idea, I need a stronger set of bands.

Went in and did some stretching/mobility/bw single leg stuff. Felt good afterwards. Stretched my lats and chest a lot, think I ll do this more often. Deadlifts tomorrow, if I dont hit 220kg x 2 I ll need to think of some good excuses.

Good work on the weight gain chubbs. I weighed myself last week when I took some Before pictures. A whopping 94kg of wobbly belly and arms!!! Was meant to travel to Dusseldorf today for a 2 day workshop. Due to the snow in the south east the flight was cancelled. Worse though was as I was bending down to pick up something from the floor I fcuked my back up!!! So I've been laid up in bed all day with a deep heat patch (not ice this time!!) Twat!!

It may do. I was hoping to join up and commence next week. All that's left to do is see how long it takes to get back from Paddington and whether there's enough time left to train. Hopefuly there's a gym at the new office though and I won't have to bother about the crappy Taro. Something tells me though that's probably not going to happen.

Cheers ears! Remind me, did you do 140kg 5x5 last year or was that a box squat? The RDLs seem to be going well. You feeling them a lot in the hams?

Yeah I did 5x5. I think im probably good for that right now if I flogged myself. Im not going to do it again though because last time it didnt make me stronger, it just knackered me. Bearing in mind 2 weeks after I did the 5 x 5 I hit 160 x 2 and I did 160 x 1 a few weeks back without too much trouble. Im not going to use a plan for squatting so much, just going to work up and get volume in on the downsets. Next week might try and hit some doubles at 145. Those rld's were really light, hit 160 x 7 last term. Going to push them up slowly. Interestingly I think the last cycles of deadlifts have strengthened up my back a bit because I could stay a lot more upright in the squats yesterday.
