LMC Oh no. I now think of you along the same lines as Blue_Lagoon. And that's not a good thing. Have you checked out the coverage in the papers? There are probably pics of you getting ****ed up in The Sun I imagine!! Most of the coverage was total bollocks to be honest and was of the first of two weeks. We were in the second week which had way less people I believe. I didnt see anything that bad at all. The press were actually offering to pay people to make up stories in the street outside bars. I can see the appeal if you ve run out of dollar on a night out! If people think what happened in Salou is outreagous and out of line, then they have a seriously distorted view of what people do when they go out at university. That level of boozing happens at home as well as abroad for many people. Id rather you didnt compare me to Blue Lagoon cheers pal

I missed pretty much all of the coverage and didn't realise people were getting pissy about it. Had some mates who went in the first week, and some who went in the second. Facebook is littered with pics atm, but I don't think it's any different to the 'Summerbreak' Holidays or AU tours.

Im on it, being back at home for a week or so with decent available food will get me up to 85-86 in no time. In terms of volume, this is what a session has looked like for me running up to the last comp: (using squat as an example) warm up bar x 10 60kg x 5 80kg x 1 100kg x 1 whatever 5/3/1 working weights are, so lets copy a session a few weeks back and say 115 x 5 125 x 5 140 x 10 100 x 5, 5, 5 3-5 sets of abs 4 rounds of complex's Despite this pitiful volume, I definitely felt 'squatted out' by comp day - ie I felt awesome 2 weeks out, then felt ****ed on the day. I think my problems are two fold - 1) pushing the top set too often 2) doing wank downsets Im only going to push my top set once a month from now on. On the downsets im going to focus on getting in some good snappy 2's, 3's and 5's in at between 110-125kg. I also need to pick some assistance lifts and actually stick to them which ive been criminally **** at pre the BDPFA comp.

First session back that Ive felt alive. Keen to pull saturday.

@ strength tech with Iain ball stretch deadlift 70kg x 3 70kg x 3 120kg x 3 160kg x 1 200kg x 5 *add 18'' blocks* 200kg x 1 140kg x 1 260kg x 0 220kg x 3 200kg x 3 200kg x 3 200kg x 3 260 was going nowhere, my back was on fire by the end. 200 x 5 off the floor was very easy, couldve pushed for a rep PR of 8 but theres no point at this stage of training. Helped to decide my DL assistance though, lots of lockouts! front squat bar x 3 70kg x 3 90kg x 3 110kg x 3 110kg x 3 110kg x 3 dead, bad ****ing knackered. good session.

After a week of 'reloading' / ****ing about, I have a plan...this plan is very similar to every other plan ive done in the last 18months, since they appear to be working. Only alterations are: less pushing on the top set as this ****ing murdered me by comp time in the squat. Here we go: Monday- Squat 531 Downsets, cycling 5s, 3s and 2s all between 110-125kg (easy) Clean - fairly light, no higher than 80-100 Abs Complex - 4 rounds Tuesday- Press 531 Downsets, ****loads of these, mainly 5's at 45-55 Chins - heavy abs Shoulder **** Friday - Deadlift 531 Rev band - 5's or 3's Front squat - light 3's or 5's complex - 4 rounds Saturday - Bench 531 downsets, maybe off a roller db row shoulder **** Im only going to push the top set once per month, if that, per exercise and even then I ll only shoot to beat the reps by a couple, nothing too hard. Once per month/if I feel awesome I ll push the top set as hard as I can but I need to keep a lid on this as im tempted to do it all the time. Need to not shoot my load in a month if im going to hit 600 in september.

No.13 Pretty tidy plan, am I right in thinking the next comp is in September or is there one before? September mate, so I may potentially get some training done between then and now. Aim is, get 600kg total, win juniors, get some sort of placing in the open, top 10 would be great.

If you can get 600, if you can, you'd be up for a top 5 place. Standard is not as high as BDFPA.

iaink Regardless of actual total I think a top 5 coule be on the cards. Just depends who shows up! True that. The total is by far the most important thing though. Once ive knocked off 600 that ll be me done as a junior, so I might well take a bit of time off from competing and have a chew at a some single lift goals (in the gym) of 200/160/272.5
