What's the next increment in the dumbbells - 65kg? 15 reps with the 60's. Is this with decent ROM? I'm about over the weekend. Fancy going down the pub Sunday for the Liverpool game? Went to the Osteopath today. She examined my back and her diagnosis was (in technical terms) - "it's ****ed!!!" My spine is twisted and has been for some time hence me straining it so frequently. So I had a 30 minute massage where I fell asleep after 5 minutes!! Still hurts but going back next week and parting with another £42 So the upshot is no gym for a few more weeks

Cheer mate. Yeah good ROM, double hardcore legend rowing. Bit of body english but we re all mates here! No more DB's, 60's are the biggest unfortunately. Yeah I can come down the pub on sun. Bad news about the back, maybe it ll be good to get it sorted in the long run though?

Good to see you mate. Hopefully training will resume when you're back. Hope things with the missus pan out ok but if not, remember to hook up with someone that either has a box somewhere local or at Anfield. Either that or one that has access to a very well equipped gym within 10 miles of home

Reverse band deadlift vs chocked blues (60kg took the bar to the floor, bands took the bar 2'' above lockout) 60kg x 1 100kg x 1 140kg x 1 180kg x 1 220kg x 3 240kg x 1 260kg x 1 275kg x 0* 240kg x 1 240kg x 1 220kg 2 x 3 200kg 2 x 3 BW reverse lunge 3 x 10 off small plate Alternating single arm swing with 10kg medicine ball (basically KB for this ex) 10kg 3 x 10(each arm) HS calf raise 3 x 10 * just above knees Good session, no knee pain, first lower body session of any kind in 5 weeks so not to unhappy at missing 275. I think 260 was basically 200 off the floor and 240 at lockout.

Cheers champ. I think 275 would have definitely been there had I been able to do any form of leg training for the last month and a bit. Im a little bit away from squatting properly again, I might try and do some box squats an inch or two above // later in the week. Im shooting for a paused bench pb tomo...looking forward to it! Im away next week on tour, but after that im at home for 2-3 weeks. Am I gonna get the chance to see your underwear at any stage?!lol

A 1RM session first week back could be very interesting to gauge just how much of a weakling I've become

Try 0/120/0 - won't be squatting or DLing for a while yet. Back's feeling loads better and have another session tomorrow with the osteopath so we'll see how that all goes.

No advice yet. I know what I need to do though and it involves strengthening my weak core. Will I do it? Probably not.

Lol I heard squats and deadlifts help core strength You thinking back extensions, leg raises etc? You thought about using a belt or some technique changes? Pull sumo maybe.
