anyone tried any weird meats recently? I have just tried squirrel meat

Hi all, It might sound like I have gone slightly mad, or a little Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall but I have just had a trip home. My folks live near some woods and they have friends who shoot peasents etc, but this time they had some Squirrel meat, which We cooked up. It tasted great, a little gamey with a nuttyness. It was very lean, and a little tough but If we had properly tendorised it, then it would have been perfect. So no i have tried: deer, crocadile, bison, kangaroo and squirrel. Anyone had any weird meat recently?

I was given the site by a friend who has a regular order, she highly recommended the Wagyu fillets, bit expensive but she says its worth it for a treat.

I've tried kangaroo, ostrich, venison, pheasant, bison. A bloke in work has offered to get me some horse meat but don't think its something I'd try.

Wild atlantic salmon, cooked within a hour of it being killed. Doesn't sound weird but quite rare. Very very few people will have tasted a wild atlantic salmon, just that rubbish farmed subsititure.

Lol. I've tried a few had the usual pigeon, wild boar, venison and rabbit. I've eaten horse and it tasted fine, didn't notice any taste difference really from beef but it was a few years ago. I've also eaten a "burger" in serbia which definitely wasn't beef or any other meat I can think of.

Ostrich is nice, I've had the real thing whilst working in Israel, and an Ostrich burger from a roadside van in Grimsby. Also had snake in Bejing, not very nice. Real Chinese food is nothing like you get in a restaurant over here, even KFC tastes different! Are Partridge, Pigeon, and Venison classed as exotic?
