bare in mind, that river, normally, is a good 10-12 ft from the top of that wall, with a fairly large grassy area between the wall and the nearest edge of the river....
CRAZY!!

Pretty bad indeed. Strangely enough Gloucester's flooding of 1-2 years back seems a distant memory now.

The pencil museum, what a legend of a place. I remember going into that when I was 5 or 6 LOL.

I can't believe it floods that badly, The river is usually 2-3 foot deep, MAX.

to be honest mate, the deepest part of that part fo that river is probably less than that..:-(

shows just howbad it gets on that bend of the river.. and when that bit breaks, it pretty much means the rest of the river has already caused loads of problems.. a lot of the estatees in kes are built on the river banks as well so no doubt there's plenty of houses in trouble right now..

I rented a cottage right next to a river, I wonder how that’s doing? LOL

It’s near a small suspension bridge (public walk way, not road) next to some big hotel. At the back you can look straight towards the lake and up at catbells & maiden moor. Is a lovely place.

Ok it wasn't quite in Keswick, it was like a 15 minute walk away. The place I stayed in was in Portinscale;

It wasn't part of this BnB but was litrally just behind it. It was a really nice cottage, it was upsidedown, the bedrooms etc was downstairs and everything else was upstairs lol.

Edit; I'm not sure who I rented with, sorry, my parents did all that.

Never knew that, I remember having some on my old laptop as someone posted them here before.
Either way though they are cracking pictures, I love seeing stuff like that.
