best laptop £300-£400 at the moment 15 March 2011 12:26 (permalink)
Hi, I need a new laptop and am looking in the £300-£400 range.

I don't game or download, I browse websites, check email, watch music videos on youtube etc.

Looking for something decent, not with a celeron processor as I've heard they're to be avoided.

any help appreciated
I wish I was more attractive like Dagless.

Keep an eye out on Ebay deals man, I recommended it to another member here a while ago.
The only good deals they have on for them now are refurbished ones, they come with a warranty and such, but being refurbished that may put you off a bit.

They have deals that change everyday, other's change weekly.  Yo can pick a bargain up there!

As for Dell laptops, their lower priced ones such as that I've had problems with in the past.  The specs are good, but the build quality has been very poor.  Quickly starts coming loose, several have had failures in the hard drives or battery.  Just my personal experience with Dell has been terrible.

go for something with core i3 processor, possible with £300 budget. pentium dual cores are getting dated now.

Saw this on HUK only this morning

              http://www.hotukdeals.com...veonlaptops-4gb/898620

£399, Core i£, 13", HDMI out, 4gb ram, 500gb hard drive. I would be tempted to upgrade to it myself.
