best pre workout formula?

ok about 2 years ago i started using superpump250.. at first i got an intense feeling of energy and was pumpin like a mad man.. but as all good things come to an end i seemed to get immune.. i tried no xplode which was pretty much the same as superpump.... now im using the ultralife xtreme nox (formerly dorian yates nox pump) and to say this stuff tastes like vomit is a understatment. has anybody else come accross something else because these three are the ones people mainly discuss about, for use weight training and also mma training with.. cheers guys

Hello meat, welcome to the forum. In relation to you getting used to the effects of the above i am the same, to re-kindle their effects a good idea would be to take a few weeks off all STIM based products.

Other supplements worth trying would be myprotein's pulse i got a nice surge of energy off this and had a good workout, felt good. Another one that  i havent tried but has been getting rave reviews in the UK is reflex's tri matrix.

Or you could keep it simple/cheap and pop a 200mg caffeine tablet 30mins pre wo.

How did you get on with nox? Many rate it very highly despite the taste, as the effects are so good.

i find the nox pump quite good infact. not a big crash either. ive just ordered a pouch of caffeine from my protein and maybe take a look at those two formulas u just mentioned there.. i would recommend nox pump defo for the pump tho

Cool, if it works for you use it mate, i know the taste shouldnt be that bad, as the flavour was made better, if you think this is bad the original would of made you sick! lol

Ive tried nox before too much caffeine in it for me kept me up all night and i crashed horribly, next time i try it i will try 1/2 or 3/4 a sachet. Would of been handier getting caffeine tablets mate, measuring powdered caffeine will be a task. You could buy a sample of pulse off myprotein too if you wish.

very good point.. nxt time i will get the tablets.. ultralife also do performance nox pump mate 19.99 per box of 30.. basicly half the strengh from supplements for cheap.. try those first

I would say despite both having diff names and the latter having double the ingrediants i would think the caffeine content in both would be the same, but maybe the 19.99 has half the caffeine which would be good for me, anyway i would like to try a sample before commiting to a full box.

Maximize by i-Force Nutrition is great. My energy levels were through the roof but without the ill-effects I've had from a similar unamed product.

Club is the extreme version the same as the original nox? Casue the original nox had 300mg caffeine i think and that was too much for me. Do you know if the basic nox has less caffeine or the same as the extreme version?

Thanks you for clearing this up mate :D this has been bothering me for a while. I recognise the ingrediants are basically half but does that mean theres 150mg caffeine in the NOX then, if you know that is mate?

i dont know mate. All it says on the Extreme NOX box i have infront of me is Ultimate Pro-Energy Matrix - 9 grams. Caffeine is included in a long list of ingredients but doesnt say how strong that content is

I just looked further down and Nox Pump contains 150mg Caffine mate.

PelicanonToast1 - thanks mate, just got a reply from ultralife and they say both are 150mg caffeine, but i reckon the extreme nox would be 300mg as the first original was 300mg caffeine i think. And the extreme has double the ingrediants, the original was awesome for alot of poeple so i dont see why they would make both the new nox and extreme nox only have 150mg caffeine, doesnt make sense.
