That's a very low dose... you need between 3-5g's, that's not even half a gram... I wouldn't worry too much tbh.. it has little affect on weight training... more for cardio and endurance activities like football, basketball or swimming

Just because you don't get any tingles from BA doesn't mean that it isn't working within the body as some people are less sensitive. The tingles are basically caused by Beta-Alanine binding to nerve receptors, exciting the nerves and causing them to fire off at random. Many of these nerves are situated just below the skin’s surface, resulting in a prickling sensation at certain skin locations and not everyone will feel this sensation. Dosages of 3.2g-6.4g daily have been used in research and have been found to be optimum dosing. However 4-5g daily seems to give the same effects as full 6.4g doses.

note , 4-5g PER DAY , you can take this in a split dose as long as you get this much per day as it works in a similar way to creatine in that it builds up in your system , If you are sensitive to the tingles you can take less per dose but more doses , at less than 500mg a dose though thats ALOT of shakes a day

6.4g I read was optimal but best to get it not all at once. IIRC it was three evenly spaced dosages of 2g or thereabouts.
An Alterego is a paradoxical escape.

We used to take 800g doses throught the day to get the 6.4g in. I used to get tingles of that dose no probs. 6.4g in one dose.... yuck... yuck. I've done it. In the heat and after a strong coffee to really get the most of it! :) There's not really been suggested an 'optimum' dose as such. So as above anything from 3-6g daily will improve muscle carnosine concentrations over 2-4 weeks.

Really poor showing in this product to be honest, just there to "be on the label" in an ineffective dose. Thankfully there are alternatives around which do have a good dose in :)

copied from " http://www.betaalanine.info/" How much Beta-Alanine is needed to cause performance increases? Research has shown that you can take an amount between 3.2 grams and 6.4 grams per day to significantly boost carnosine levels and improve performance. The most recent research, now using 4-5 grams a day, is showing comparable carnosine concentration and performance improvements to those using 6.4 g daily. Based off the current research, we suggest 4 grams of beta-alanine a day, with an optional 2 week loading phase of 6 grams a day during the first month of use.
