Aaron, sounds like you've done a good job with Sotoyne. Everyone seems to be talking about how improved his condition is ....good work both of you.

They split novice class up into weight categories now? Hmm I may have to do that this year then
 
Currently entered in as a lightweight due to my trainers recommendation. But that's just because he thought novice class was all weights mixed together

Steedie, the novices was split up simply due to the numbers. The novice class has been growing each year and is possibly the toughest one to judge as you have all heights/weights/shapes etc. At least splitting will make it better for each person to be looked at and judged even more thoroughly against the other guys.

I just helped tonye out with advice on cardio and his last week of prep (water manipulation/carb up etc)... i've been on his case since september last year and how he needed to drop more bodyfat.
He was very hesitant about it as you can imagine as you lose that illusion of size but once he started shedding the fat he was looking more and more on the money physique wise.
 
he weighed in 10kg less than last year and looked bigger for it.
 
still have a sore throat from cheering, he has finally added that missing piece to the puzzle and added conditioning to what is a cracking physique.

Nic, Sarah Meek wo the ladies, she was first placed lightweight in 2008. Fran whi came second competed for the first time in physique last year, she's a member on here but doesn't post much, she's not a huge lady but has great condition. Eve has also competed for the last few years. If you go to www.bnbf.co.uk and look at comp reports for last years final you should see Fran and Eve and Sarah in the 2008 report.
 
However, may I also suggest that you concentrate on worrying about your own physique and bringing YOUR best to the stage . You can't change who you're up against but you can change yourself x

Aaron, not sure, I'm poo at names but his face does look familiar. He's number 9 so which ever class was on first or second depending on numbers entered. He's obviously won his class as he's in the overall line up so look for whoever won the class you think he was in......sorry can't help more than that!!
 
Sotoyne looks vastly improved. I honestly don't remember seeing such cuts in his legs!!

thanks Kitty! And no problem, rest assured I am not worrying (well I am, plenty to worry me 18 days out, but I'm not worrying about anyone else!) Just very curious, interested and eager to learn - this sport is brand-new to me you see :)

Kitty - they changed the numbering of classes, every classes had competitors 1-15 in :-)
 
Aaron - I was indeed working hard! Think I should work in shop presentation lol... Not impressed with the pic though lol...
 
NicChip - you've NOTHING to worry about from your pics. I was at the show (as you can see above). Sarah brings a great package, she's got good symmetry, she's lean, quite muscular, but poses really well which makes her shine. Fran as Kitty said is lean, but actually has added some size this year, and improved her posing so much that she looks confident onstage and so makes the judges look at her. My tip, no matter how you look, pose well and command the judges attention ;-)
