ok so the bodymedia armband says i burn est. 2300 cals a day atm (my sedentary revision period)

So is an intake of 1750 ok on days where i am sedentary and 2000 on days where i do weight training ok?

nb im an endomorph and have recently started to stop eating carbs past 6/7pm unless i train late

im about 23% body fat

just want to make sure im not undereating.

Try to stick to a 500kcal deficit.

Stick to a deficit, get sufficient Protein/Fat and yes, you'll lose weight.
I would never go beyond a 20% deficit (E.g if you burn 3000 a day don't go more of a deficit than 600kcal.) until the later stages of the cut.

Restricting carbs after 6/7pm wont help weight loss, unless it's reducing overall energy intake that day.

Look at your overall energy intake for the day, opposed to restricting food at night.

      thanks.

also if i do cardio, I should perhaps eat a little more, so that my deficit for the day comes to about 500 cal from food and cardio correct?

or do cardio on top of the 500 cal deficit from food?

i also do the carbs before 6pm from following point 1 here

      http://endomorphfatloss.c...et-you-faster-results/

      completely pointless im guessing?

Sorry, I was your reply but didn't write back.

Yeah that article's useless.  People who say don't eat carbs after 6pm (Why's it always 6pm?????) are just carbaphobic and believe carbs will make your fat, in reality they just feed into generating eating disorders.  That is ridiculous and needs to die as I was a victim of their bulls**t.

If you're one of these people have a read of these.

          Comparison of Weight-Loss Diets

When it comes to weight-los it's easier to look at your food intake over a 24hr period.
In each 24hr period get sufficient protein and fat, make the rest up with carbs and remain in an energy deficit and you'll lose weight.

          No advantage to reducing carbs.

          -EDIT-
This doesn't mean I'm saying slam all your carbs down before bed (unless you feel the need to such as training really early n the morning).  When cutting I do take them before my workout purely for performance reasons.

Ok so there are some sthings coming up which my "job" requires I have body definition.

Weight loss has been going well for me, have been using body media for a while.

Getting a knowledge of what I burn on certain days, and using my diet and exercise to be below 500 cals of my estimated burn for the day.

I need to lose more weight fast

            My daily burn is 2300/2400

Ive mostly been losing an lb of fat per week, some weeks 1/2 due to diet hiccups!

I want to know can i increase my cal deficit more with extra cardio safely and lose 1 1/2 lbs per week (by making my deficit 750 per day instead of 500 for a little while)?

Or will i reach a plateau too fast and need to reduce cals even more?!

You can increase your deficit yet, just keep monitoring your daily energy expenditure and stay below it.

Yes and no Liddy, dont you think the human bod is better off having carbs during the morning when you have been fasting all night asleep and glycogen levels are low, and in the evening not having carbs restricting the whole insulin response when eating meat?  Morning carbs with no more than 10g of fat, evening high fat and protein with no more than 10g of carbs?? Disagree?? I agree with the cals in and out but its the macros that decide what you lose and gain. (fat or muscle)

Yes you can increase your deficit, Liddy's last post had a typo.

TheTruth, this whole insulin thing is the biggest myth going around in dieting circles at the moment. Check out the first graph in this link for an idea of what is going on

As long as you are eating in a calorie deficit, your body will burn more fat over the course of a day than it stores and the net result will be fat loss.
