but i have to go get this done on the 23rd of april and im ****ting myself. Has anyone had it done in adult life? The thought of them injecting it makes me feel sick and im not sure what will happen after tbh, sex life etc... also will i be out of the gym/off work for a while or is it kinda over and done with in an hour and back on with life as normal?

had it done when i was 2 so not much help

but aparently you will be all back to normal and fine with in 9 days

My mate had it done and was in the pub the same day although he did have to keep going to loo and wrapping loo roll round it for some reason. He was always a bit weird anyhow haha

pretty normal these days, don't know your reasons but alot of people CHOOSE to have it done late in life for hygiene reasons, I'm happy to pull back and wash properly, my brother in law was born in South Africa it was done as a matter of course there because of the heat.

Apparently the first couple of times you go at it after you may ejaculate premeturely due to the increased sensation on the end of your penis.  Important not to use it at all for at least a week after but your doctor will make his own recomendations.

Throw away your boxers for a week too, though this is down to personal preference, tight fitting pants will stop your chap moving around, at first this may hurt and chafe later it may get you aroused, either way too much freedom when your getting used to it isn't good.

Stay away from mint source shower gel too!

I had mine done 2 yrs ago at the age of 36 . Ended up having 2 weeks off work .Tried to go back but was just to painfull  . Depends if you have a phyisical job .Im glad i had it done as it had got really tight .But it did go a bit wrong and it apparently does go wrong quite often ha ha ...good luck...

not sure chris more concerened that im about to loose the 15kg of weight i have put on...being back to 60kg will be hard..... my foreskin is that heavy honest!

dont fancy two weeks off work either, i do a lot of walking between offices easily cover about 5miles a day....the chaffing dont sound to good.

Get one of those pairs of novelty pants - have it sticking out the front of your trousers with an elephants trunk or something on it - chafing problem solved.

Buy pants like I said then so it sits solid, may take some tactical relocation now and again but its easier than boxer shorts.

Hmm im usually only allowed to wear those on dress down fridays.....

I had it done a few years back. A bit of a complication (internal bleeding in the wound, heamatoma i think?) but all fine in the end.

One warning for you...waking up is very very painful. This is probably the only time in your life you wish you couldn't get an erection. Seriously, if you have an other half then ask him/her nicely to try not and cause any stimulation. Think stiches, thinking pulling of those stitches! The stiches i had were those disolvable ones and came out after about a month or something. I was off work for 2 weeks. Walking was a bit difficult but could get around, just walked with a bit of a limp sort of trying to minimise moving/chaffing etc. Wear loose boxers and when you get out the shower hold the towl out in front to give it room.

Removing bandages isn't so fun either mind but it's more discomoft than sheer pain to be honest.

Once the initial first few weeks are over though it's plain sailing. I'm extremely glad i had it done. Personally think it looks a lot better anyway, aesthetically. The GF agrees. I think i did loose some senstivity down there as the head of my penis being constantly exposed adapts as would any part of your body. So now zero chaffing/discomfort etc i can wear anything i like. Sex is still good no problems but i do think some senstivity was lost. Nothing to moan about though, i don't notice it now.

I'd rate it as moderately painful, nah second thoughts I'd downgrade that to pretty uncomfortable and not much worse than that. I've been through much, much worse. Nothing to worry about unduly mate and, depending on why you're getting it done, probably well worth the discomfort.

Potential for acquiring some funny stories to tell is also quite high

You cant mate, without great difficulty, pulling it back (if you can) causes it to crack and split and then your in agony for like a week....

so why you having it done?

I used to think that I would have to have mine done when I was about 13 but it turned out I didn't need it, thank god, can't imagine the pain....atleast when your a baby you don't remember it

Phimosis is the medical term...basically you cant move the forskin back wards....it will randomly crack and split multiple times which leaves scar tissue, weaker skin and then it repeats its self over and over again....sex is a nightmare, taking a piss is painful.....etc etc

I get permanent infections (gross i know) so always on anti biotics, yesterday i finally got the date to have it done...NHS were trying to get me to go private, clearly im not having it done for religious reasons or just for fun so eventually they agreed to do it!

I guess I needed to know that to establish the cirumstances if you will, but with out really taking this thread into the gutter can you not lubricate your knob, so you can keep your foreskin or better still just use your knob more lol
