    arm is really taking some getting moving, still quite a bit off getting the full estension im allowed, tendons dont feel long enough to allow it at the moment!!!!

    movement in general is getting less painfull, and upper cast actually seems to have got a little tighter since thursady, so im hoping that theres enough movement to prevent much further muscle wastage.  shoulder is now starting to look a little atrophied, but only in certain positions.  have some neckache as well, due to the imbalance the cast creates

    generally positive though.

      it sounds like things are getting better, it is gonna take time but you know you will get there, stick with it and you will be fine.

        When the pot is off will you have to do any stretching to lengthen the tendons?

          woo hoo! made it to the gym for legs, first time in 4 weeks! 

          leg press 4  sets 20 reps

          leg extension 4 sets 15 reps, light weight 2 second squeeze at the  top

          leg curl  4sets 12 reps

          calfs- tried james calf routine, my bloody feet are still shaking!  lol

          felt so good to train.  tried cardio, but after 5 minutes i was getting hot and the pot was tight and itching, so no cardio for 6 weeks till the pot is off

          need to decide how often to train legs.  part of me wants to split legs, into hams and calfs and quads, and do eacj twice a week.  but then the sensible me says that its pushing my knees too much.  i think even full legs twice a week would be so either full legs once a week, or split legs into 2 days a week to get 2 gym sessions and take as much advantage as possible of the rest and food im getting

                yeah im expecting wrist problems, its aching like mad alot of the time, and theres another 5 weeks to go yet, think wrist is going to be the most painfull part of it

                    how have you tailored your diet now you are unable to train as much? reduced carbs?


                    was great to be there, though it took 2 hours to do legs with everyone coming to talk to me!
                     
                    im quite restricted as to what i can cook, so diet isnt quite as clean as it was, and food choices are different.  ive gone for keeping everything high approach.  i dont gain fat easily, so carbs etc are still high to limit muscle loss, rather than lowering them too much to prevent fat gain.  easy to diet the fat off!  though as im sleeping in etc etc, there has been a lowering of what i can eat in a day, so totals are a bit lower, but then i spend all day sat on my arse now!
                     
                    example days eating
                     
                    9am  60g whey in milk, 30ml udos, glucosamine, chondroitin, multi vit, apple
                    10am  2 bagels with butter, large glass fresh fruit juice
                    12pm  jacket potato with cheese, 200g cooked turkey, dairy milk, crisps, pint milk
                    3 pm chicken + salad (spinach, rocket, peppers, grapes, apple, cucumber, tomato, EVOO, sesame oil, WW vinegar), 4 slices white bread with butter, boost bar.
                    6pm,  chicken and ham tortellini, in tomato sauce.  glass fruit juice (tropicana- tropical)
                    9.00  chicken + salad (spinach, rocket, peppers, grapes, apple, cucumber, tomato, EVOO, sesame oil, WW vinegar)
                    10.00 3no bagels
                    11.30 60g whey in milk, 30ml udos, 50g oats

                    also eaten in the day, 150g cashew nuts,  couple of apples, banana, pineapple, kiwi

                          To be fair mate, that's still pretty clean.

                          its alot cleaner than my old bulking diets lol, but nowhere near as clean as the bulking diet i was on pre-injury

                                    ok, odd fact for the day, i dont have a favourite anything!  what i like changes from day to day, though generally cheese and onion or prawn cocktail are the winners.  like worcester sauce and bbq rib as well. generally in a multipack ready salted and salt and vinegar are last to be eaten.  though the best crisps are probably seabrook ready salted! lol
