Dbol gains

Hi All,
 
Embarking on a Dbol cycle at the end of the week. 30mg/day. Diet sorted, 4000 - 4,500kcals/day, clean. Training 3x a week minimum, HIT program a'la Dorian Yates. Nolva for PCT and any potential gyno.
 
Does anyone have experience of Dbol only cycles...and keeping the gains?
 
Obviously size/bulk etc is dependent largely on PCT and the after-cycle-training etc, and the potential bloat/water retention loss etc.
 
However, what about the strength gains? Do they taper off once I come off cycle?

    Hey bro
    How long you running the cycle for? I would say 30mg is probably a bit low to be honest 40 -50mg would give you much better results.
    I love dbol and usually keep a good amount of the size, though everyone is different and I have found that some dbols are 'cleaner', than others if that makes sense. I find some I get better gains with.
     
    I usually run 6 weeks at 50mg a day and put on around 20llbs. Of that I usually keep around half.
     
    I find that I can train stronger off the dbol rather than on it as the pumps can be painful especially in the arms!
     
    You have to make sure your training is up to scratch. There are so many guys that don't train hard enough at my gym. You have to push yourself beyond if you want to be one of the big guys and eat like its your last meal lol
     
    Is this your first course?

    Going to run 30mg/day for 6 weeks, then pct.
     
    That fits with what most have said, keep around half of the size gains, so I'm well prepared for that - not like some I've read who expect it to put on 1.5 - 2st over night, and keep the lot.
     
    Heard the pumps can be an issue too, any tips to minimise them?
     
    I'm going balls-out with my training at the mo as it is, but will drive even more when I'm on and the weeks after too....I want to make it work and benefit from it long term, not just blow up and whither like a balloon ;-)

    6 weeks is a good base for Dbol. I do find at about 5 weeks I can feel a bit under the weather...kinda hung over in the morning. I think it is just the stress on the liver but I doubt you will have any problems at all on 30mg.
     
    The pumps are ridiculous. Arm day is very extreme, so much that I try to get in hit them hard and heavy say about 10 sets of around 8 reps and finish. Before the pump becomes too massive. They come with the territory on dbol but you learn to love it. Makes you look huge as well lol!
     
    Everyone is different but if you are training properly ie: heavy and strict...really tearing down the muscles then you will keep a good amount of the gains.
     
    One thing I recently re-learned after years is how important techinique is. Sounds daft as it is the most emphasised thing but it is easy especially on gear to just start throwing up heavy weights. I used to be terrible for that..bicep curling 80-90 kgs and thinking I was Godzilla lol.
     
    I am preacher curling around 50-60kg for power work then finishing off with 12kg dumbells and my arms have never been bigger. A touch over 20 inches.
     
    You will be great mate just keep the food up, porridge, brown rice, chicken, steak. I find flapjacks are great during the day I usually have one or two with a couple of pints of milk at my desk at work. Keeps my body growing!

    Haha, well my arms could do with a pump, so that could be a welcome problem!?
     
    Really useful info about the technique side of it. See far too many numptees with eyes bigger than their muscles, trying to lift weights that they can't complete the movement with. Got to push yourself for sure, but what's the point bench pressing for 1" depth???? ;-)
     
    Do you see carb intake as being crucial? I am currently on a low-carb regeime, but if they are needed to grow to my full potential, I'll re-address that. I am getting 4000kcals+ at the mo, mainly on protein and fat. Does that need to change?

    Its funny isn't it. Basically the first thing any weight training book will tell you yet I see it disregarded all the time in gyms. My physique has come on so much since i started doing the exercises properly. Don't get me wrong its good fun to beast it now and then but my physique and those I train come on so much when they sort out theri technique and stop trying to chase extra pundage every session. You will always be able to add more weight on if you progressively make your technique worse to accommodate it. I used to do rows with 4 20 plates a side, now I am going deep full extention rows with about 2 plates and a 10 plate on and my back size as well as definition is looking class!
     
    I keep my carb intake moderately high. I am 6'7 and currently 280llbs so don't have to worry too much about excess weight. I would be really cautious of anyone telling you to keep carbs low to try and stay lean. Obviously don't go overboard but you need a good amount of food. For instance my food yesterday was:
     
    200g oats, 1/2 pint semi skimmed milk, 6 boiled eggs (50g)
    1 Apple, Flapjack, Protein Shake (pro peptide) with 1 pint semi skimmed milk (70g)
    Bag of beef Jerky (25g)
    1 bag of uncle Bens Brown Rice, 6 mini chicken fillets (60g)
    Flapjack, 1 pint of Milk (20g)
    1 bag of uncle Bens Brown Rice, 250g of Steak (50g)
    4 slices Wholemeal Bread with Peanut Butter, Protein Shake (Propeptide) with 1 pint of Milk (70g)
    4 packets of Walkers Crisps, a mars bar
     
    That gives me around 350g of protein a day give or take and around 500-700 g of carbs. I don't really measure it but I am fairly consistent with my portion sizes and food types. That is enough for me to grow at a good rate without putting on too much fat. Sometimes I cut the crisps or peanut butter and loose a few pounds from my waist.
     
    Everyone is different, you will have to see what works for you. I am on 500mg of Test Enth a week and I put around 2-4 llbs on per week and it is good gains.

    If I was you I would cut out crisps 100%, not for your physique but for your health.
     
    Terrible for cholesterol levels espically when on cycle!!

    I've done 2 DBol only cycles and the second one was wicked, but the first one was pretty good too.
     
    I was taking Mutant Mass alongside a proper diet with carbs and protein my main priority and put on nearly 20 pounds in 4 weeks. Then after that I put on probably an extra 7 pounds on over the last two weeks as i slacked a bit due to personal life issues.  I lost a fair chunk of weight after, but maintained the strength which helped me during PCT.
     
    I did 2 weeks of 30mg a day, then 4 weeks at 40mg, and once you get into week 3, I went into hyperdrive and blew up. The pumps in my arms and back on those training days were insane!! Came home and my dad couldnt get over the size of my arms, noticeable size put on during my cycle too.
     
    I rate dBol cycles...im now moving onto my first Test cycle later this month

    I'll have another look at my diet, and get some good carbs in there.

    My advice would be the following...
     
    1. just 30mg over 6 weeks..
    2. keep your diet clean and healthy and up it by 300-500cals..
    3. keep water intake high
    4. keep salt intake to a minimum 
     
    look to gain around 12 pounds and keep 7-8...

    is this your first ever cycle of AAS ? Dbol seem like the best and easiest option for someone looking to try their first cycle, but can you lose B/F and built at the same time on Dbol or is it a case of running a cycle for each ?
