Why dont you just join a normal MMA club and then go around kicking people in the nuts/poking them in the eyes and sucker punching them?

My mate went to jeet kune do in Glasgow for a couple of year, the guy training him based his whole training around how to win by any means necessary, eye pokes, nut shots, weapons etc

Maybe he means you have to some grappling in the field, wheres its muddy, dusty etc then do some MMA, but physically be dirty.

Or maybe he means dirty mma, as in, looking into your opponents eyes.....

Yeah, we do dirty boxing in Jeet Kune Do, find somewhere near you.  There are no rules to be bound by so use anything that works as said eye gouges etc

There's a number of clubs up and down the country teaching this sort of thing. One issue we have at the moment with mma and in particular bjj is that it has become regarded by many as the 'ultimate' fighting system, thanks largely due to the exposure of the ufc.

Sure mma / bjj has it's positives and in the cage / ring / on the mat they're damn effective arts, however many of the 'sporting' applications found in mma / bjj might land you in a bit of trouble if applied in the 'street' (as an extreme example you have some bjj guys that are more than hapy to drop to the ground and fight from a guard position, this may work on the mat but it's clearly not a good idea on the 'street').

So with that in mind, what these 'dirty' mma clubs are trying to do is to retain the positive aspects of mma (of which there are many) but fill in a few blanks making the style more street effective.

I train in MMA and Krav Maga, in Krav Maga we are taught lots of quick disabling moves that means winning at all costs but could not use them in the ring. That is what he maybe talking about.

yeah i think he's mixed up dirty boxing within mma.

No such thing as dirty mma surely?

something like that would be classed as Krav maga or a club that teaches streetfighting.

Ah but if you call it "dirty mma" or even "dirty cage fighting", you'll get more guys coming along to give it a go...

Then it can be classed as "new"
