anyone been to one of these ? im thinkin about tryin one just as a day out really as its somethin ive never done but always wanted a go at. so i guess normal procedure would be to book in for a lesson ? or can you just go along and have a go like at ice skating ?

Never been to one myself but I know a few who have and weren't impressed. Do you have an Xscape or snow centre near you? Ski indoors on real snow, I did this myself before my first ever ski holiday and it's very good, you do need to book in advance and have a lesson if you are a complete novice. My 13 year old daugther is doing a series of 4 lessons at Xscape at the moment, done 3 so far, last one Saturday and she's doing great. loves it and the instructors are very good.
