i just dont have money to buy like 10 dumbbell pairs. i would like to buy dumbbell handles and collars and some 10kg, 5kg, 2kg, 1kg, 0,5kg plates . putting plates on db handles just like on barbell. do you think it is a good idea? doing incline db press will be still possible?

i am a poor man so i thought that i can use same plates set for my db's and barbell. just buy a lot of 5s, 10s, 22s and SOME 45s and db handles + spring locks + standard barbell. it would be much cheaper because i can buy used plates for very low price (1$ / kg)

Spring collars on dumbells are asking for trouble if you are doing any over head/face moves. Imagine have a few 5kg plates just slowly sliding off the end of the dumbell as you are incline bench pressing!
