ephedrene and wolff parkinson white syndrome 24 January 2012 16:38 (permalink)

Hi guys,

Was looking to start a ephedrene and caffine stack but have heard that with wolff parkinson white syndrome it probably isn't a good idea.  WPW can cause sporadic tachycardia at rest and ephedrene may increase this.  However I have had tests done and the anterograde characteristics are deemed to be safe but there were some AV re-entry tachycardia evident.
What are peoples thoughts on this and if it is suggested that i'm being stupid what other options are there?

thanks

You heard right - it's not a great idea, stimulants can cause a massive attack of tachycardia in a person with WPW - even a surge of adrenalin can induce it so you really want to stay away from excess stimulants.

I don't use fat burners so can't really recommend any to you but I'm sure others will list some non stim supplements.

Thanks for that.  I had thought that because it had been deemed as a safe pathway I may have been able to use them.   It was a routine ecg that showed up the abnormality.  The pathway seems to shut off at around 180 beats per minute.  Whilst not a great coffee drinker I am partial to LOTS of energy drinks which have never caused a reaction, however if I ever slip on ice I usually get a reaction due to the increase in adrenaline
