essential supplements?

Hello all, recently posted a thread in the diet area with regards to me having to cut down on certain things due to money being tight - and just wondered, which supps for you guys are essential? What I currently use, and rely on are Multi Vitamins, Omega 3, 6 and 9's, Creatine, Whey Protein, Some kind of joint care, Tribulus and Amino Acids. Does this sound pretty standard or am I missing something you guys would consider essential (if anything). Cheers :) !

For cutting I think its good to add your EFA's (omega 3,6,9) and your aminos. The top 3 supplements I would recommend whey protein , creatine & glutamine. I wouldnt say all of these are essential but I would choose these 3 before any others :D

the only supplement i would deem as essential is ones that are needed to complete your diet. for example if your diet is short of perfect due to not having enough protein then a protein powder is essential. supplements can help you to achieve your goal but the word essential to me means you would not achieve your goal without them and thats not the case. i would get a whey protein, then a blend, then a recovery formula with carbs etc, then my protein bars, then consider creatine etc. whilst cutting i would include BCAA's and maybe a natural test booster to try and avoid catabolism.

On a cut my recommended supplements would be EFAs, Whey, L-Glutamine and BCAAs. I personally add green tea to that too. However as you are cutting on a budget I would say that the only two that I would deem "essential" are EFAs and whey....however you can still debate calling them essential. I would say that if you really are on a tight budget you can afford to drop creatine, BCAAs, L-g, and tribulus if you are talking about only using "essentials". The reason I haven't suggested dropping multi-vits is because I have just had a look at your diet and there isn't nearly enough fruit and veg in there!!Diet and training are key when cutting, and you can definitely still cut effectively supplementing with just EFAs and Whey.

For me my essentials would be CNP Pro Vital, CNP Pro Peptide (or if money was really tight whey), and CNP Pro Recover. I justify spending on quality products, as I do not go out drinking in pubs/clubs, which probably saves me a good £50/60 a time

Diet is essential and supplements merely supplement this in order to ensure all bases are covered. Therefore what is essential to one is not for another - it depends on the deficiencies in your diet. Individuals also have differing goals which may skew what is essential even further! :) For many a protein product is a diet staple - anything else is up for debate imo.

depending on your brand of Whey protein you mite not need to supplement with extra aminos and L-Glutamine. Theres some whey powders out there that are loaded with these aminos, 5/6 grams of each per serving. Ive never seen much point in Trib either TBF
