static holds 100 (10s) 140 (5s) 150 (5s)

good workout. depth not perfect on 90kg but pretty close. deadlifts felt light. gms were tough. 150kg static holds easier than i thought they would be.

thanks ad... i'm thinking about competing soon.

thai boxing tonight. warm up was really brief. sparred all lesson, focussing on defence. i was the only woman there so had to spar with men considerably bigger than myself. took a few blows but gave as good as i got. lots of fun.

been trying to get my sisters into lifting. could only convince them by buying matching short shorts. whilst i was warming up for bench two girls that work at the gym asked to have a word with me - apparently other members found my shorts 'upsetting'. the two girls only let me do upright exercises (oh press). once they'd gone i did bent bb row backed up against a wall so as not to upset anyone else with my butt. finally scourge turned up and lent me his tracksuit bottoms. benching with bands was hard, i'm not very good at exploding. close grip bench was much easier than i remembered.

ditto. I benched with bands with PikeKing last Friday. It looked a lot easier than it actually was. I was very feeble.

haha. i know i was supposed to be training DE but it felt like i was going in slow motion.

i don't know why my bench is so crap: i can decline and dip much more than i can bench, 40kg close grip was easy today, so my chest and tris are strong enough. my shoulders must be really, really lagging. scourge says i have to do lots of flat bench (grr!), DE flat bench (grr!) and OH pressing.

KMP have you got scourge to put bands across your hands (looped around both hands) so that you have to pull your hands apart as you bench, which in turn will activate the triceps even more..

scruffy - we haven't tried using the bands in that way yet. i've tried pulling the bar apart but all that happened was the bar wobbled all over the place.

kitty - yes, that's me...


squat 3x3x80, 3x60
speed dead 6x2x60
box squat 4x3x40

crappy workout. even my new pink chuck tatlors couldn't save me.
lower back hurt. don't know if its related to injury or just general overtraining.
squat form sucked. knees came forward and inwards. hip flexors felt very tight. really struggled at 80kg, failed to make depth.
speed deads were better than usual, actually managed to pick up some speed.
abandoned goodmornings and static holds. box squats instead. form after box squats much better.
