doms DELAYED onset muscle soreness WHY, is it delayed??? why not straigt away i get it bad around 24 hours after training and then it eases, but have always wondered why, when training you can feel the muscle group working, but say about 2 hours after the workout, it feels like you ve not done a work out.... then 24 hrs later ....BAM ....muscles are falling off.. anyone have any reasons????? im thinking its probably to do with chasing sabre toothed tigers - ie: goes back to early days of man where you needed your body to keep going...or somet like that

just been on wikipedia - and it states that its the repair process that causes muscle fibre to inflame which is a good reason - so unless anyone has anything else to add, this topic may aswel be deleted carl
