how long does it take to go from tissue creation to fat burning?

as per the title. Im thinking of zoning my diet off season so i have both defecit periods and surplus periods. Im going to work these around my workouts, but i relaised that i dont really know how long it takes the body to go from creating tissue (muscle or fat) to burning fat, and back again. is it just the time to process food? at the moment i train monday wednesday and friday. im thinking of making workout days low carb/ calorie, untill after workout, when they will become high carb/calorie, so when i do my cardio PWO it is into fat burning. Then after im back to building tissue. Rest days will be high carb/calorie to repair and build muscle. the carbs on the rest/repair days will also fuel the workout on the low carb days. thoughts?

I don't understand the title question.. the body is constantly building up and breaking down tissues. both processes are occurring at the same time. anabolism and catabolism are metabolic processes, made up of multiple pathways. at the moment i train monday wednesday and friday. im thinking of making workout days low carb/ calorie, untill after workout, when they will become high carb/calorie, so when i do my cardio PWO it is into fat burning. Then after im back to building tissue. Rest days will be high carb/calorie to repair and build muscle. the carbs on the rest/repair days will also fuel the workout on the low carb days thoughts it is one method. whether it is any better than a more even spread, I don't know.

Daz - it doesnt work like that. Your body does both all the time, what you want is the overall balance in a distinct time period - which is why you phase your diet. To paraphrase Anthony Robbins - change takes an instant, what takes time is seeing the results of that change. With your body the balance can shift from net anabolism to net catabolism instantly - what determines the outcome is how long you maintain that state. in practical terms it means distinct phases of diet and training tailored to a goal - usually weeks long to see the fruits of your labour. Hope that makes sense

I know that results take a long time to see, so the effects wont be drastic, but im looking long term over the next 6 months. Id like to slowly add quality muscle, and use the defecit periods to keep bodyfat low, which should allow me a higher surplus during the parts of the diet geared towards growth. so there wont be any drastic changes in my body, but as long as overall im going in the right direction over the next 6 months, to hit my targets for my next competition then im happy. If that makes sense?

There is a school of thought that cycles every 2 weeks - one tenet being that in 2 weeks you cannot deposit a lot of fat, and that in 2 weeks you can burn off any deposited in that 2 weeks. the downside of this is - while it may work - you tend to make minimal gains if any!

After 4-6 weeks i am just about stopping gaining on my current diet, and i cant eat more clean food, only way i could increase cals would be more fat or sugars. im 89kg now, stage condition i would probably come in at 81 kg something like that. ideally on stage next year i want to be 85kg. so i need to gain about 4-6kg muscle by the start of summer. but if i stay on the diet im on, i will tread water for months and not really get anywhere. what would be the best sort of cutting/bulking switching times? 4, 6, 8 weeks? to keep the body guessing and stop it getting used to the cals. and get mini rebound periods

diet looks good, i think you are better off focussing on one thing at a time, the fat comes off relatively easily and provided you dont let BF levels get out of hand i doubt you will have any problems nailing condition. Once I’m fully recovered and 100% fit again, i will be doing 6 week over feeding phazes followed by a 14 day diet to mop up some of the fat with higher training frequency (6 days a week as opposed to 3) and more cardio, then swap training routine's and begin the cycle again. the diet is clean except for one cheat each week(these are dropped during dieting phases) im still tinkering with it but the calorie intake during Overfeeding phases will work out at roughly 4000cals on training days and 3500 on non training days with 20mins cardio every morning bar Sunday’s. dieting phases will probably be very low cal c2000/day.
