Anyway does anyone know of any good sites to buy off? Had a look on ebay but seems to be a lot of cheap rubbish about. so please anyone got any good recomendations they have used or are currently using please let me know I would really appreciate it. cheers

You can still get 5kg for under £50 from MyProtein if you use their Price Matcher!!! Just enter some of the bigger bulk supplement suppliers and you won’t be disappointed!!!

market prices for all proteins at dairy level have increased massively over the last year or two! Growing markets in other parts of the world, (nothing to do with sports suppliments) and big companies pre-buying huge amounts are the biggest causes.

Prices are going up again. Sports Nutrition is a very small cog in a very big wheel. It is also important to point out that the bottle neck or throttling of supply exists primarily for WPC80 Instant - WPI, WPH etc. no issues they are obviously more expensive but not so much any more since WPC80 went north. Without going into specifics across the board perhaps as much as an 80% rise from lowest prices 24 months ago to present day - less for some but I would suggest most are suffering price rises over 60% on wpc80. Hence the need for more blends to minimise impact and a shift away from tubs to pouches etc. all done to negate the rising prices. The value offered online is very good.
An Alterego is a paradoxical escape.

WPI is still about 45% more expensive but that is closer in terms of the gap a year or two ago. What is the key thing? For me it's taste and packaging but after that it comes down to the cost per gram of whey. WPC80% still wins for me anyway. Still cheaper than chicken I think! :-)

whey isolate -5kg 64.99 egg white powder about 58 for 5kg (my protein) you could bring both prices down by doing the 50/50 mix with pea protein isolate i personally have been well satisfied with the 50/50 mix of egw and pea protein isolate and seen some rewards from its consumption. It could be that my stomach is more suited to this form of protein whereas milk products cause the gut to be bloated and uncomfortable . If that is going on i began to wonder just what was getting absorbed. anyway ill leave it with you.

TBH, I think the opposite, I've placed 2 large orders with MP this month alone. MP had 35% off tubs of Total Peptide as a Deal-of-the-day on Monday making them £20 for 2.2kg. 5kg unflavoured WPC is under £40 and unflavoured WPI bought in bulk is £10 per kg.

The cost of whey has increase - however....Whey Protein, Casein etc.....are still both MASSIVELY better value sources of protein than normal food. You won't find better value for protein anywhere else, even if you're buying a more expensive brand, and it is "real food" as it's essentially a flavoured dairy product :)

M4Z4 Am I missing something? 5kg of Impact Whey at MP is £39.99 +P&P... Apart from a flavour, no your not. Unflavoured is £39.99. Type ironscience into the price matcher or something and get it for 50quid. (5kg flavoured). I used to take the Impact Blend, that still seems to be a decent price.

I've altered the title of this thread to be fair to MP as the discussion is more prices in general. I actually wrote about this issue for an issue of Flex mid last year, and there's a similar article here: http://newsletters.muscletalk.co.uk/1104.aspx
