is there a diffrence ? 23 January 2012 10:18 (permalink)
im on a cut and im limited my starchy carbs to 30-50-75g cycle them on diffrent days is there a diffrence for pwo carbs i dont take carbs pwo atm but looking at either wms, virtigao could someone help me.

my diet is
2100-2500 cals
180-280g protien
30-75g starchy, veg carbs 50-120g, 8-12g suger
50-80g fats (efa's)

i was tinking of using wms but only half a serving as its a starchy carb, also im a bit skeptical due to hearing that carbs pwo spike insulin and thus led to fat gain which i dont want

thanks

Insulin spiking PWO is fine - body is in a very different metabolic state to normal, and there is not the same concerns with regards to fat storage as you'd have during a sedentary part of the day.

What time in the day do you train as this immediate window for insulin spiking is over stated and reality is you will be more insulin sensitive for many hours after training.

Therefore, with this in mind if you eat a main meal again agfter training I would be more inclined personally to have my larger carb feed in with this meal and concentrate more on p[rotein and amino acid intake after training.
