RE: NEW RECIPE - High Protein Strawberry Fudge Bars...

Made some of these today, used 180g whey but was a bit powdery so melted a bit more of the mix which sorted it out Had a sneaky taste earlier before it set properly and I have to say their a bit alright! Added in a bit of mixed fruit which seems to have worked ok. Dont think their very good for dieting though, as I could eat them all in 1 go

I made these a while ago. They were lovely straight from the fridge, but tasted a bit off/sour if they got warm at work.

I think the added whey made it a bit too dry so I tried to add a little moisture which obviously turned it the other way

Just wondering could I do without butter and just use more peanut butter and quark. Also could the jelly be substituted for chocolate powder or is the jelly a must?

Made these about 5 mins ago, in the fridge now. Used: 100 grams of Quark 50 grams of Whole Earth Peanut Butter 50 grams of Brazil nuts 25g desicated coconut 115 grams of Flora extra light (St Ivel stuff isn't sold in any of the supermarkets i've been in?) 2 packets of strawberry Sugar Free Strawberry Jelly 180 grams of whey protein Add a little taste and tastes just like i'm eating a chewart or something, pretty nice but not sure i'm like them if they stay very sticky, hopefully will harden up in the fridge and be ok. If they are very sticky, anyone know how to make them less sticky? More whey?

I cant find the original thread that this recipe came from but I made some of these last night and to be honest they're not all that great! The recipe I used was: 600g cottage cheese 280g oats 250g almonds (i used mixed - almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts) 125g whey 2 packs sugar free jelly Firstly they look pretty horrid and secondly they taste like overly strong strawberry yoghurt. Think Ill force these down me then try the strawberry fudge recipe on the first page.

Just made my first batch and they're currently setting in the fridge. I messed up a bit with the Whey, I thought 1 scoop was 25g so may only have around 2/3rds the whey in. Also, you weren't very clear with the '2 sachets' of jelly. I bought hartleys jelly sachets which come in pairs at 23g a sachet. So 46g altogether, which I presume is what you meant by 2 sachets. I'll let you know how I get on, but licking the bowl was a pleasure so it won't go to waste even if its not quite right! (56.8g of protein per 100g in jelly crystals, v.surprised!)
