hey guys, im abit lost at wa snatches are can u help pls? im lookin at a new routine of only compound movements an i got snatches an clean + jerks(im pretty sure i know how to do these) for wed, jus wanna make sure im doin em right.cheers!!

    i jus found it on another site wat snatches are.but isn't that the same as clean an jerks??im confused??

          Very hard to master I might add. Keep weight low and master the basics.

            are you new to training?clean and jerk and snatch are olympic lifts and are very technical needing proper instruction.my advice would be to go to the power and strength forum,theres competitive lifters in there who will be able to offer a lot more sound advice than in here.

                    by all means do the exercise but please get instuction. they are very good compond exercises but master the technique fully before putting silly weights on the bar please be careful.

                    (i been doing them since 1977)
                    bodyweight 70k lifts in comp snatch 132.5k cl+jk 160k
                    78k lifts in training sn 145k cl+Jk 170
                    front squat ATG 185k x1
