Good article, had a speed read. I would say that the internet has benefitting people enormously... If only it puts them in contact for people to train with/go to meets with.

There is an element of death by info though.

I agree mate. Half the threads in the 'training' section on here though really suggest that people are too ****ing lazy to find things out themselves. I find that people waste so much time worrying about the little things that will make no difference. How many sets of curls? what protein shake? my chest is flat...

"My chest won't grow"
"How heavy are you?
"10stone"
"How long have you been training?"
"One year"
'shake of head'

lol

The internet is a blessing and a curse, but I feel the former outweighs the latter.

At one point when we were having the "should the bar touch your chest when bench pressing" convo, someone else made a thread asking THE SAME ****ING QUESTION! Both threads listed one after the other... some people don't deserve the help lol

Nice session Dave.. love your snatch

When your benching do you go for a full blown arch/tight set up every session or just on PB days?

I guess it's going to mess with your neural patterns using two different techniques. I've generaly been making sure I'm tight and sturdy on all lifts but not going for a massive arch. I found it was giving my lower back a little bit of stick hyper extending so much while diggin into the floor. Although I don't hear any powerlifters complaining about that so maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Yeah mate if its hurting your back the chances are you havent quite got your arch right yet. Make sure your foot position is good and that you are forcing you heels into the floor as hard as you can. A lot of the arch is in the upper back too.

Nice session bro.. lots of bands... I like

Another positive for always arching as well as you can is that it is effectively "stretching" you every time you do it.. so you're improving your arch every time you arch
