Great idea I'll be up for a couple of them as they fit into my current cardio routine I'll give the rowing a go on Wednesday What's the easiest setting, 1 or 10?

The higher the setting the harder the resistance, but then once the fan thing is spinning inside the mechanism it turns much quicker, thus meaning you go faster - so not sure which one to use really!

Thanks for that, I genuinely don't take much notice of the setting I just get on it and go for about 15 mins for approx. 3000m.

If you're trying for a fast time or rowing as far as poss in a set time then setting 10 will give you the best results really - it's harder to keep a quick strokes per minute pace, but the momentum of the fan turning fast makes you eat through the metres much faster too. If you're just going for a general 15 minute workout then it doesn't really matter I guess. But for the purpose of this thread stick it on 10 and your times will look better then!

My best for 800m swim is 9.20 but that was in a long course swimming pool (16 lengths) so that converted to a 25m pool at (32 lengths) is 9.05

Ok....still panting like a dog after that fcuking magic 50 bollox...nightmare....9 mins 48 secs with a 20kg dumbell did this as it looked the hardest tbf but I now have bad chest burn LOL....I'm pretty out of condition, I just found that out...not particularly because of the time cause I'm pretty pleased with that as I've never done anything like this in years....I am just taking ages to recover, it's 20 minutes since I finished and I'm still fcuked I'll give this another go in a fortnight, right now I'm off to call NHS direct....
