Good one today, deads felt easier today than last time I doubled the 275kg. Back was really tight though so need to give it a good stretch. 20/11/09 Deadlifts- 60/6, 100/6, 140/4, 180/2, 215/4/4/4/4, 245/2, 275/2, 215/8 Happy enough with that, set of 8 was prety easy and breathing wasn't as bad as last time. Tbar Rows- 80/10, 100/8/8 Pulldowns- 60/10, 80/10, 90/10 That was all, Results was really busy tonight and hard to get motivated training by myself.

Alright one tonight although I'm dissappointed by the squat. 2/12/09 Squat- 60/6, 100/6, 140/4, 180/2, 220/2, 240/2/2 Belt on from 180kg, wraps from 220kg. Was aiming for 240kg for 5, going to do 230kg for 5 next week as a confidence booster. Karlsen Squat- 100/5, 180/5, 260/2, 220/10 Leg Press- 140/6, 180/6, 220/6, 260/6, 300/6 Finished with leg extension.

Very happy with todays session although I need to re-evaluate the Ortmayer as today was getting tough. Thinking maybe doing next week, then having the scheduled week off then maxing belt only, few weeks of rep stuff then do a max in the Fusion. 4/12/09 Deadlifts- 70/6, 110/6, 160/3, 220/4/4/4/4, 250/2, 280/2, 220/8 Second rep with 280kg wasn't too bad, hitched, but alot less than I used to. The 220k for 8 was killer though! Bent-Over Rows- 70/8, 90/8, 120/8, 140/6 Dumbbell Rows- 40/10, 50/10/10 Shrugs- 110/10, 170/10, 200/10, 250/20 Machine Row- 90/10, 120/8/6 Finished with hamstrings, abs and then attempted a 500m rower sprint, but had to stop with 150m left as I though I was going to pass out from stomach and lower back cramps.

Thanks mate, if I can pull 280kg without much problem after all that I'm hoping that I'll have 320kg belt only soon and then when I add the suit maybe 340kg.

Alright session today although not too pleased. 8/12/09 Jerk from rack- 60/6, 100/4, 120/1, 140/1, 160/f/f, 140/1, 120/3/3 Beltless PB of 120kg, then belt on from there. Took a blast of nose tork on the first set and somethings happened to them over the weekend cause they were about 10x stronger than Friday. Totally threw me off, just dumped the first attempt cause I couldn't breathe or see then second attempt head just wasn't in it. Seated Barbell Press- 50/8, 80/8/7/6 Powerclean- 60/3, 80/3, 100/3, 110/3 Hang Snatch- 60/3, 70/3, 80/2/2/2 Finished with rear delt work. Video:

Finally getting to post my training from today as I've been doing uni work for the past 5hrs since I got home from the gym. Really happy with how things went today, squats felt good, although maybe a little harder than they should of been. 9/12/09 Squat- 60/6, 100/6, 140/4, 180/2, 230/5 Belt on from 180kg, wraps for the 230kg set. Front Squats- 100/4, 140/4, 160/6 PB Really happy with these, think I had another few in me with the 160kg set, but biceps started to cramp a little from holding the bar up, going to aim for 8reps next week. Karlsen Squat- 100/6, 140/6, 180/6, 260/4, 300/2 Finished with leg extension and calf raises.

Alright one today, wasn't feeling overly great after two nights up till 3am which has been causing me to not be eating properly as been sleeping in. 10/12/09 CG Bench- 60/6, 100/6, 130/2/5/2 Lost line on 3rd 130kg set. Going to go down lighter for a few weeks and do higher reps like 10s cause elbows and wrists are suffering a little from all the heavy direct tricep work. Floor Press Lockouts- 70/8, 120/8, 150/3, 120/12 Skullcrushers- 30/10, 50/0, 20/15, 30/8 Elbow felt mental sore when the bar touched the head on the 50kg set so just left it and did some higher rep stuff. Finished with incline cross lateral extensions and rope pressdowns.

Pretty pleased with how things went today, to be honest I wasn't keen on doing the Ortmayer, but I did most of what was planned for the last week of it. 11/12/09 Deadlift- 60/6, 100/6, 140/3, 180/2, 225/4/4/4/4, 255/2, 285/1 (missed 2nd rep), 295/1, 180/16 (t&g) The Ortmayer call for all of that except 285k was for 2 then I was supposed to go to 225 for 8. Happy with hitting 295kg after all that, even though it was a bit of a tough rep. Was going to leave it at that, but felt bad I didn't do any cardio stuff. Want to hit 180k for 20 t&g next time I max. Machine Row- 80/10, 100/10, 110/10, 120/10 Pulldowns- 80/10, 90/10, 100/8 Finished with some hamstrings.

Bit of a sub par session today, training myself this week and from just sitting in the flat all day before the gym wasn't really up for it today. 15/12/09 Jerk from Rack- 60/4, 100/4, 120/6, 130/4 Push Press from Rack- 100/4, 110/6 Standing BB Press- 60/8, 80/8 Seated DB Press- 30/8, 36/8/8 Powerclean- 80/3, 100/3, 110/3, 115/2 Hang Snatch- 60/3/3, 70/3, 80/2 Finished with rear delts.

Aye mate, shall send it now! Alright session today, was using the bottom of the squat suit as I'll be using it SSM Qual for 260k for reps. Took a bit of time to find the best way to use it, but ended up a good one. 16/12/09 Squats- 60/6, 100/6, 140/4, suit bottoms on 180/3 (half squats cause belt was ontop of suit)/1 (proper depth, belt under suit), 220/1 (half again, belt ontop), 250/1 (belt on top, closer to depth but still mega high)/3 (wraps on and belt under, 3 pretty easy reps. very happy) Front Squats- 100/4, 140/4, 160/4, 180/3 PB Karlsen Squats- 100/6, 180/3, 260/3, 300/4 PB Finished off with a 20reps set of leg extensions.

Good one today, really pleased with how it went, especially yoke and farmers since they were done in the snow! 19/12/09 Log Press- 90/3/3, 110/2, 125/1, 140/1 PB, 120/5 Been a long time coming this; was on a 10" log, but definetly think I can do it on IFSA spec aswell. Yoke- 250/20m, 330/10m, 370/10m PB, 410/8m PB, 250/10m Hardest thing about this was the pick up, between sets the yoke would get imbedded into the slush, which made the pick up even harder. Yoke is the hardest yoke I've ever used becasue it is so over-engineered and the weight isn't on the pins mainly as on most other yokes. Frame Carry- 220/20m, 260/20m, 300/10m, 320/10m Happy with this, again pick up is the ahrdest part, but this time it is becasue of the width of the frame dragging up over my legs since it's a bit narrow. Silver Dollar Deadlift- 60/3, 100/3, 140/3, 180/3, 220/2, 260/1, 300/1, 320/1, 350/f Happy enough with these as it's a bad position for me, plus back was fried at the end of the session.

Alright one today, jerk was a bit iffy though. 21/12/09 Jerk from Rack- 60/6/3, 100/3, 120/1, 140/1, 130/5 Incline Log- 90/6, 90/3 (higher angle), 110/3/2 All done strict. 3" Handled Dumbbell Press- 32/3, 52/3, 72/1, 82/f Happy enough with this, wasn;t close on the 82kg set, biggest problem is to try and stabilise the DB after pressing it as it tries to roll out of your hand with the 3" diameter. Seated DB Press- 30/8, 40/6/6/7 Powerclean- 60/3, 80/3, 100/3/3, 120/1 Hang Snatch- 60/3/3, 70/3, 75/3 Finsihed with a triset for 10reps each hitting all heads of delts.

Another good one today, pleased with how things are progressing! 23/12/09 Squat- 60/6, 100/6, 140/4, 180/3, 220/2, 260/3, 280/1 Suit bottoms and belt under it on from 180kg, wraps from 260kg. Another thing I'm happy about is hitting these weights with no mirror infront of me like usual. Front Squat- 100/4, 140/3, 160/2/2/3/3 Couldn't set up properly as had no mirror to get the bar sitting right, easy reps though. Karlsen Squat- 100/8, 200/6, 240/6 Stopped early as I was using a different machine than normal due to being home in Aberdeen over Xmas. This one put alot of pressure on my neck and the chine dug into the head rest and lower angle so was throwing me off. Leg Press- 200/6, 240/8, 280/8, 320/8, 360/8 Finished with 4sets of 10reps on leg extensions.

Good one today, training alone and couldn't get set up in te rack properly for CG Bench so had to improvise. 24/12/09 CG Floor Press Lockouts- 60/6, 100/6, 120/4/4/4 Seated OH Lockouts- 60/6, 100/6/5/7 Seated DB Ext- 40/10, 50/10/10/10 Finished with 2runs of the tricep circuit without a rest, then did 2types of pushdown for about 3mins non stop for something different. Can't wait for deadlifts tomorrow, going to be some MEGA pulls!!!

Tried the suit again after log and 18" to see if I can get a better position and I reckon pulling the legs right up gets it seated much beter and puts me in a better starting position. 27/12/09 Log Press- 90/4/2, 110/2, 130/1, 145/f/f Happy enough cause the 130k shot up, missed my clean on the first 145kg and that threw me off; on the positive side though i figured out where I was going wrong for heavy log cleans and tech has been sorted now. 18"- 60/3, 100/3, 140/3/3, 220/2, 260/1, 300/1 300k was easy enough, but back felt terrible, hardly anything there after deads on Friday. Suited Deads- 60/3, 100/3, 140/2, 180/2, 220/2, 260/1 Straps up from 220kg. Speed was fast, but was in some pain from the fatigue in the back. Lockout on 260kg was a little slow, but not too bad.

Quite a pish session today, not really pleased with anything other than the hang cleans which were quite good. 29/12/09 Jerk from rack- 60/6/3, 100/3, 120/2, 140/1, 155/f/f, 125/1/1(from ground) Seated Smith BTN Press- 60/6, 80/4/4/5/6, 60/12 Seated DB Press- 35/6/6/6 CG Power Snatch- 60/3, 70/3, 80/2 Hang Clean- 80/5, 90/5, 100/5, 110/3 Finished with face pulls then delt triset.

Bit of a **** one again today. Need to start planning things properly, when deadlift and OH was planned things went amazing, but sort of falling into old habits of singles again! :( 30/12/09 Squat- 60/6, 100/6, 140/4, belt on 180/2, suit bottoms on 220/2, wraps on 260/1 Not good at all after the 3reps at 260kg last week. Leg Press- 170/10, 220/10, 260/10, 300/10 Leg Extension- 30/20, 45/20, 60/20, 75/20 Smith Squat- 60/10, 100/10, 140/10 Just something different to get some reps in since everything else was so poor. Finished with 2 sets of 10 on the GHR. Going to sit and try to plan out training between now and Arnold's then plan other stuff closer to the time.

Sweet one today, very happy with how things went especially as food intake hasn't been the best over the last few days. 3/1/10 Incline Log- 90/3/3, 100/4, 110/5/4 Yoke- 70/15m, 210/15m, 290/15m, 350/25m (1 or 2 drops, 15m course), 410/8m (3drops, yoke wobbling like fook) Arm over Arm- 500kg in chain/15m, 300kg sled/15m, 300kg sled + 100kg person/15m Deadlift- 100/3, 140/3, 180/1, 220/1, 260/1, 280/1, 300/1 Belt on from 260kg, straps for 300kg. Would of liked a few with 280kg, but hands were ripped to **** from the arm over arm. Will nail 6 on the day. Messed around with baby inch, one handed deadlift a few times and a few presses.

Sweet one today, pretty pleased with how things went, but need to get grip back upto where it was as using straps has let it go a little bit; will be back to full strength soon though. 08/01/10 Deadlift- 60/6, 100/4, 140/3, 180/3, 220/2, 250/1, 280/2/2/2 Suit bottoms on at 180kg, straps up from 220kg and neoprene belt only for all 280kg sets. Box Squat ~12" box- 60/3, 100/3, 140/3, 160/3/3/3 Liked these, going to keep them in and try to get the speed off the box up. Only used APT knee sleeves and neoprene belt on these. SLDL- 60/8, 110/8, 160/8/8 Leg Curl Machine- 50/10, 70/10, 90/10, DROP SET {110/8, 70/8} Kroc Rows- 40/20/20/15 Machine Row- 80/10, 100/10, 120/10 Pulldowns- 70/10, 80/10, 90/10 Cross Body Single Arm Hammer Curl- 16/15/15/15

Quality one today, nice to get back into some nice heavy events! 10/01/10[/u[ 8" Log Press- 50/5, 70/3, 100/2, 120/3, 130/1, 140/1 (just missed 2nd rep from floor), 150/fail (log went backwards too much and lost it) !40kg was a PB on this log as I used to not be able to clean it since it has a big groove down the middle. Farmers- 70/20m, 90/20m, 120/20m, Farmers Keg Medley 140kg farmers/20m, 100kg keg/40m Yoke- 70/20m, 150/20m, 230/20m, 310/20m, 350/20m, 410/10m PB Another 2m added to the 410kg PB. Stones- Singles and doubles upto the 160kg stone Tacky kept slipping straight away on the 160kg, think it was too hot and never got it. Had it at the height of platform and then stone and tacky slipped right off the arms.

Solid one today, wasn't really up for it when I left uni at 6, but got the head switched on and really pleased with what I did. 12/10/10 Jerk from Rack- 60/4, 100/4, 120/2, 130/2, 140/2 PB, 150/2 PB, 155/1ish The 150kg double was really easy and then the 155k shot up, but up it too far behind me and lost it, but there was definetly a double at 155kg there. Axle from Floor- 80/3, 100/3, 110/3, 120/2 Just something to get the heart going a bit. One Arm DB from Floor- 40/10, 50/10 Again, just something to get the heart rate up. High Incline BB Press- 60/6, 100/2, 80/6/8 All reps paused on chest. Seated DB Press- 30/8, 40/6/5 Power Snatch- 60/3, 70/3, 80/2 Just left it at that and didn't do hang clean as bicep tendons we're hurting for some reason and not wanting to chance an injury this close to Arnold's.

What comp are you most looking forward to in competing? At the same time which are you most nervous about? Is it the Arnold's.

Alright one tonight, suit is really ruining my squat line so can't wait till after qualifier to get it off and get the raw strength up and start getting some big numbers. 13/01/10 Squat- 60/6, 100/4, 140/4, 180/4, 220/3, 260/2/2/1 Suit bottoms on from 180kg, belt and wraps from 220kg. Karlsen Squat- 100/6, 140/4, 180/4, 260/3, 300/2 Had to leave it there as ran out of time, need to get more work in though.
