Solid lifting, mate. Really deep squat too. Oh, and I think the dude in the background has a soft spot for you

No doubt due to the fact I've never seen anyone squat more than about 160 and not even close to depth in there :)

Nice deep and easy 200 there mate. Good luck on the position at Kingston University, don't think it's too bad a commute from where you are. Get smashing PowerPoint!

lol Cheers pal. Funnily enough just been checking the commute. Train takes 2hrs plus about less than 30mins combined either side so under 3 hrs. So looking at getting up bout 6 for a 9 start. Similar time at the moment and off course not every day will 9 start. Further don't need to go through central london so no tube! Going home is probably worse, but then they have a good gym I hear so training can be worked in hopefully! Tough but very doable for good money (for me anyway!). Good thing about trains is it's time you can spend doing stuf too.

Matt was done and had a very nice last heavy deadlift sess before BDFPA Brits. I was in better shape than last week so alls fine. I now have a 20kg KB so will be using that as some assistance type work.

15/3/10 Bench press; barx15 60x5 75x5 90x2 105x2 120x1 135x1 135x1 135x1 135x1 135x1 135x1 Squat; barx10 60x5 100x5 130x2 150x2 170x2 170x2 170x2 170x2 170x2 OHP; barx10 40x5 50x5 60x5 70x5 50x10 Seated db cleans &rt; band dislocates- 10x3 Loverly session today. Benching was very smart. All clean, paused reps with nice bar speed. Importantly last singles felt pretty much as good as the first. The power of Eastboune Kettlebells Squats were well grooved and fast, as they should be at this load. Very nice though. Finished with some solid OHP and some lighter upper back work.. which hurt as my traps are sore to touch from yestardays shrugs!

18/3/10 Squat; barx8 60x5 100x5 130x3 150x2 170x1 190x1 210x1 210x1 210x1 210x1 Floor press (pinky on ring); barx10 60x5 75x5 90x5 105x5 120x5 Pulldowns- lots Nice session. Squats very solid. 2 of the singles I tried a much narrower hand spacing (pinky on ring instead of max legal bench grip). It has legs for sure but means that the bar is more unstable when not positioned 100% right. Will muck about more after my next meet. Blasted through the floor presses nice and quick. Working up to a solid top set. Did these instead of bench to ease my back. Next monday singles with 140 on the bench and 220 squat. Vids to follow

Cheers AK- 230 Next single on vid is one with closer hand stance. Went deeper.. too deep in a way and there was a bit of a sticking point. But with slowtube doing it's thing it'll be 40min before I post that up. Time to have tea guys then run back :)

Easy enough. Didn't get the senior lecturing position this friday. But then non of the candidates did! They are changing the position to lecturer and adverstising it for a week only on their website, and invited me to apply for that. Presentation and inteview seemed to go well. However as above it is obvious there was a high component of administration beyond my experience (and that of the there applicants!)

22/3/10 Deadlift; 70x5 120x3 140x3 160x2 180x1 200x1 220x1 235x2 185x3 185x3 185x3 Block pulls (middlish shins); 180x3 200x1 220x1 240x1 220x3 200x5 KB- 20x10x3 Solid session. 2nd rep of the top double wasn't good enough but there ya go. Everything else was cool. Block pulls need to be back in regular... simplizz. KB were very glutetastic and first time doing them as part of a session. Def keep in em to finish of my deadlift training. Great how they hit the hams and glutes with such a light weight. Board shorts and vest here I come :) Vids to follow

Solid session Iain. The double looked good. What exercise did you do with the KB? I tried some high rep KB swings the other day, good if you barely rest between sets.
