todays session- Bench- 130k x 5,2,2 - 110k x 8,4 DB Shoulder press- 40k x 4, 36k x 4,3 - failed big time wi the 40's so dropped the weight.. my DB shoulder pressin has never been great. will be workin on this one!! Dips- BW+ 35k x 10,5,2 Weighted pull ups- BW + 20k x 6,3,2 - BW x 8,5,3 Seated Row- 87k x 13 - complete failure. assistance- reverse grip pushdowns- 97k x 20 DB side laterals- 10k x 20 was supposed to be doin racks today but lower back is still slightly 'twingy' from squats so left them out. was a v good session. feel v pumped and 'hard'.. bench strength should be goin up pretty quick i hope.. should be back up to 140k x 4 or 5 within the next couple wks.. definately like doin the heavy rest pause set then the lighter one. dont hink i'll do this every upper session tho.. i may even do it so one day i introduce the heavy RP set for some of mypush exercises, and the next upper session use the hevay RP sets for my Pull exercises.. could be the way forward i think!all in all a good sesh

Incredible Bulk good push work!!! 130 is a good bench for reps how do you get the dumbbells in position? clean and press to the clavicles and then sit on the bench? u mean for setaed shoulder press?? i just sit down and clean them whilst sat down... well more like a cleaned hammer curl!! not ideal but it does the job!! thats def an area i need to improve on tho.. seated DB press.. will swap my seated BB press for standing.. u reminded me wi ur session.. i used to do them all the time and love them so will be doin them instead!! yeah bench was ok.. should be goin up steadily i hope tho back to my best

cheers riocat.. Marsbar- bench is as vertical as it can be! i used to shoulder press with it at a bit of a decline but decided to try it recently more upright!! u thinkin i should increase the deceline a bit again?? even when the bench is as vertical as possible i still arch myback quite a lot so in essence am makin the bench inclined!! watched that dvd last night mate.. the week in the dungeon one.. bets training vid ive seen easily!! its good to see a pro tkain on board a different way of trainin rather than just happereing every muscle needlessly with tevery exercise they can think of!!

todays session- was a bit different o what i had planned as it was busy so couldnt use the power racks... leg press- 155 x 11- too many reps here.. 175 x 6- too many here too but legs felt good after this! leg extensions-20 reppers completed the last 5-6 reps for each leg as singles as it was burnin like f*ck!! lying ham curls- 67 x 8,4,3 - will up weight again next session. calf raises - smith machine (standing)- 65 k x 18 - first 13 were DC style - paused for 15 secs at stretch, 5 sec negative!! last 5 were repped out to failure! mucho pain ....... MTS hammer strength preacher curl - (pretty much like dorians nautilus machine- 40 x 9 on each arm- these were to failure.. last 1 rep spotted with strong negative. EZ curl- 50k x 8,4,5 - still too light- wil up weight next time. massive pump in arms tho.. DB hammer curls- dropped weight from what i normally do and concentrated on form- 22k x 12, swung out another6 with bad form to flush the blood in there!!! good session.. very pumped. legs were feelin much stronger.. legs felt huge too... on a bad note- havin problems wi the mrs again!! its not good!!! she spent the night at her mates last night... will see what happens... not lookin great tho!

Sorry to hear about the missus, stay strong mate. I actually watched that vid (a week in the dungeon) last night as well, was a great watch. I liked the way he was talking about the positive, static and negative parts of a rep, really interesting and makes a lot of sense. Dorian still looks big and scary as well

yeah its a right arse!! not to get too deep but i seriously do love her like no other.. but as cheesy as it sounds, sometimes thats not enough?!! we just dont seem to have anythin in common.. i get irritated at tiny things she does and a lot fo the time id rather sit at my comp on here than sit down and chat wi her!! loads o f other sh*t in my head too which i wont go into but somehtin just doesnt feel right!! ah well... as for the DC trainin... yeah it is good for the calves... last nights was the best as the mith machine was free for first time in about 3 months... always has all the little kids around it! i cant get a good enough stretch on seated calf raises due to an old injury but doin them last night was awesome... did 1 warm up set and then blitzed them with 1 dc set,, + 5 quick reps at the end and i was done.. quick and easy cant beat it!!

dyskee.. cheers fella!! and dont worry- i appreciate any comments to be honest.. its not that im gettn cold feet as such.. somehtin just doesnt feel right at the mo!! and i cant say to her, 'o it will pass... i'll be fine.. we can work thru it..' etc.. cos if i did and it happened again she would be devastated and would servely hate me! and i couldnt put her thru it again!! but todays been proper sh*t.. shes been to look at another flat but has now decided to move back home in darlington so im gonna have to move out o my flat or find someone at v short notice to move in cos my tenancy runs out 14th Oct, was due to sign an extensin wi her but thats obivously down the pan now!! and movin back onto the newcastle side of the river would mean that i would probs have to move gyms too and i love my new gym!! aaarrgghhh.. its pissin me right off!! i dont do stressfull........

cheers dude... ill keep my chin up!! ive still got my trainin.. ;-) haha!! its gonna be wierd tho.. we both just had alaugh about it as it feels like someone has said u have til sunday to live etc.. she's movin out on sunday, and its just strange bein around each other actin almost as if nothin has happened, yet we're talkin about where she's gonna go.. and her movin out and buyin a car etc for wk!! these next few days are gonna be hard!! trainin tomorro afternoon so ill make it a good session!! im out tomorro night tho which im lookin forward to as its freshers wk.. :-).. but i dont wanna ruin my gains, or go overboard.. then its my mates birds birthday on sat so were out for that, and then its my best mates birthday the follwin sat and were out for that!! im one of those who cant really have a good night sober around people who are drinkin!! im gonna have to think of a plan cos i def dont wanna do 3 big nights in the space of 2 wk while im 'on'!!!

tomorros sessin will be- Upper- Heavy push priority! Incline Bench- RP sets totalling 6-10 reps, followed by Straight set to failure 8-10 reps ** will be lookin to use possibly 120 k on the first incline RP set. wil be good to gauge how heavy i can go on this. Standing Db shoulder press- Heavy RP set= 6-10 reps straight set of 8-10 reps to failure Skulls- Straight set 8-10 reps to failure reverse grip pushdown- RP = 8-12 reps ** have changed up what i would normally do for skulls as this would be an RP set but decided to change a bit. CG pull downs (underhand)- RP 12-15 reps Racks- heavy 6-8 reps straight heaver 4-6 reps straight. should be a good session!! decided to prioritise the heavy RP stuff every other workout.. so next upper session which is sunday , will be a hevay pull priority day with normal push rep/ set ranges.

cheers guys.. yeah ur right!! sh*t happens in life.. its how we deal with it that counts eh..??!! haha... might use that in my sig... ;-) !! anyway.. to business!! today: Inc Bench- Heavy RP set- 115k x 5,2,2 8 Rep straight set x 105 k could have done with a spotter, would have got a couple more on both sets to be honest. Felt strong on the inc bench. will go 120 next time. Standing DB shoulder press- Heavy RP set- 34k x 5,3,1 8 Rep straight set x 24k - V strict form on this. Cable laterals- 15k x ??? was approx 11-12 each arm, but was to compete failure with a couple of cheats at the end. Seated Skulls- 50k x 8 Reps - Straight set, find it hard to go to failure on this as i feel it a lot in the wrists etc.. will possibly go lower with the weight on this next time and literally use perfect slow form to feel it more. V grip overhand pushdowns- RP set x full stack + 2 kilo weight - 8,5,3 higher reps on this is better for me i find. felt great after this. CG pulldowns- 97k x 8,5,3 - i'll take that. will up weight next time tho. great squeeze at the end too, 10 sec static. was runnin out of time as i have a lot to do so had to skip racks. was tempted to throw in some rows quick but i thought i wouldnt bother half arsin it and just hit the pull exercises harder on sunday (which is what i had planned anyway).. was gettin a few looks in the gym too so im takin that as a complement! had veins comin out everywhere and strength seems to be goin up so all in all im v happy so far!!.... personal life aside! :-) ha... think im gonna have to drop the volume a tad tho as it is becomin a lot. from now on if i double up on chest and/ or shoulders ill just perform the one tri exercise!

only 2 tri exercises.. but i agree mate!! thats wat i was sayin above, cos im prioritising a heavy day for either push or pull, i need to make sure i keep the balance in!! yesterdays was a bit messed up tho cos i dint get to get my second back exercise in there.. just did the pulldowns! next time i prioritise the heavy push it will go somehtin like- bench flys shoulder press lat raises psuhdowns / skulls each of the assistance exercises for chest and shoulders would just be a higher rep (failure) set.. as for the wrists.. yeah i wear wraps for doin my push exercises etc.. but with skulls there does still feel like a lot of presssure on them..

ok so todays sessin which is lower- will go somehtin like- front squats - 2-4 rep - will aim for around 105-110 possibly 6-8 reps- will see.. probs around 90-95. 20 rep set of leg press seated ham curl RP set for 12-15 reps may also add in some pull thrus- Leg press calf raise- 12-15 reps DC stylee!! EZ Preacher curl- RP set 12-15 reps DB curl- 8- 12 rep straight set EZ reverse grip curls- 8-12 rep straight set. just took some measurements too.. arms are now- Left = bang on 18"... Right = 17.6 ish".. this is down to my left tri bein condiserably biger than right! strange.... im happy wi this tho.. dint take any before measurements but they were around 17 ish earlier this yr.. would love to be around 18.5-19 " this time next yr..

ok- gym was busy- squat racks taken so once again i had to improvise- Leg press machine- 180k x 8 192.5k x 6 back squats- 80k x 20, 15 <--- these were done almost superset straight after the leg press, and i performed them like a rest pause set.. massive pump in the legs!!! could have gone much heavier tho!! seated leg curl- 75k x 8,5,3 Leg press calf raises- 14, 7 EZ bar preachers- 40k x 10,5,3 <--- much too light DB curls- 24k x 8 EZ bar reverse grip curls- 40k x 12, 4 <--- too light again.. sessin was good. felt v strong in the legs today, but unfortunately i ballsed up the weights for my arm work.. still got a good pump and pushed them to failure too so it aint so bad...

mate urs must be there too!! with a back like that... thing is they dont really look it cos im pretty tall, and have pretty long limbs.. but i measured them and yeah they were up there so im happy!! riocat- cheers dude.. im thinkin im prob around 16 1/2 stone at the mo.. i feel heavier than when i started and im lookin bigger than when i started the epi too so all is well... gonna have t buy some scales tho to weigh myself in the mornin!! just tuckin into a nice chicken, avocado, tomato and mixed leaf salad!! lovely!!

you must be kidding mate .. my arms are rubbish .. I have really short muscle bellies :( At their biggest they may have touched 17.5"-18" but I was around 18 stone .. they actually looked bigger when I dieted down.

but ur probs a bit leaner than me at the mo so when im dieted right down, not really sre how big they'll be.. like i said tho.. im hoping to touch at least 19" by this time next yr!! but like u said regarding ur weight to arm size ratio.. i may have to whack on a fair bit of weight to do it..
